Last Season there was an All Star Team for Div1 and one for Div2, no reason we couldn't name a First team and Second team for the whole league.

well thats bs with strength of schedule.....
people dont choose who they play...does that mean someone in a clan who isnt in one of those top tiers clan is weighted higher as in theory they had tougher games?

One of the considerations in Season 1 was the amount of road games, there were certainly a number of strong players who only played on their favourite maps only in that season. This season seems to be a better mix.

Chariot of Fire - 20-3

Denise - 11-1
dwilhelmi - 14-1
cachejob - 15-2
Shatners Bassoon - 13-1

Who do you all think is more deserving? I am honestly kind of unsure, I can see arguments for both.

I think that's a great way to look at it.

The all-stars are not that tough to pick historically, the big challenge has always been top player, although with upper game limits, might be easier this season.

Don't be upset. Jake's dyslexia is just acting up again. He put his bottom 3 up there by mistake.

It does raise an interesting issue tho. Basically Chuck put up the top 3 from each of those divisions that he checked, from what I can see. Is there not a case for getting the top performers from each div? :-$

Most of the clans should have had a pretty good idea who they were going to face. I'll setup the privs tomorrow and by the end of next weekend most games should be made I think. The original aim was mid-Jan and we were pretty close, didn't see B&C coming down to the wire like that.

are the clans going to be told what the deadline is for making games? would be very helpful to know when we need this done

Are you going to procrastrinate? ;) Fix it now and have it ready before the deadline \:D/

Just kidding. A deadline would be nice so we can get it on! 8-) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHKgsa8nBXo)

Ours are already decided. We're playing all 9 maps on Battle for Iraq! ;) Our guys are still on suicide watch from those games in our challenge.

We've only played it once so far in the league as we wanted to save the extra free win when we understood we would be playing Empire in the playoffs O:)

AOC and Empire are planning to exchange games on Friday. If you can arrange for privileges for me and Denise (I believe?) by that time, it would be nice :)

They still can't get over that on one of our best maps (which we almost never lose) you and Eyestone, who had never played it before, swept them out of it.

Not entirely correct. I had played it twice before I chose it as home map on the 1vs1 as I found it a one of few maps that wasn't entirely decided after the drop. I then learned a few moves while playing mkcummins but still won almost all of the games as I got to start almost all of them (he had also chosen it as home map) so when we got to the dubs and trips I had developed a good strategy so I was able to lead Namor and Angola in the rest of the games. Now it is propably my favourite map - at least top 3 8-)

Edit: Angola was the third for the trips. Myrelock teamed up in a dubs.

Could be, though with a 20 terr start that's a 6 deploy which, making 6 x 4s, could easily drop the oppo <18 and facing a turn where his opponent has 23+ terrs. Thing is in Checkers one is going to go straight for the oppo, not a neut 3, so going first is a huge advantage. In Iraq there's the risk/reward of taking the neut 1s on the Baathists, so most first moves target bonuses rather than oppo 3s. This is why it makes for a more interesting and less dice-dependent game.
