well then, widowmakers, I'll just have to take over rules making and hosting duties for the next revamp competition.

not that there's many other maps to revamp. British Isles but gimil is doing that. Australia but Keyogi wants to do it himself I think. Arctic? Africa?

asia. it's one of the worst on this site, with unclear attack routes and spelling mistakes galore.

  • At least 1 Brazilian symbol, like flag or coat of arms.
  • I keep the right to veto anything on the artistic side...Some things I will veto right now include placing signatures in Brazilian flag (someone tried it already, lol), and putting the title in any colour that is not in the flag.

Well... I PM'd marv a while ago with no answer. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what he thinks. I did use the banner above the title so it's just barely a Brazilian symbol... But... I did use colours in the title that are NOT in the flag. Honestly, the flag just doesn't mix well with the colours on my map. Sorry Marv. I did use colours in the title that I felt represented Brazil however.

andy, u need to do this for all revamps. i totally forgot about this and didnt vote for round 1. :( #-o

luckily, i love rjbeals version of brazil. very well done. oaktown's was great too, but the whole book thing is kind of distracting. as for widowmaker's version, dont feel too bad, having the guts to experiment with new things is what brought mankind from cavemen to modern world.

Dont' worry, we will do it for all REVAMPs. A lot more of Foundry issues and topics will be displayed regularly. It was not used for Round 1...because it wasn't Live yet!

And just an update. When I created the News Feed around 2 and half hours ago, we had 15 votes. We know have nearly 80.

Wow only 2 votes for widowmakers? I like the look of it, it just think it's too small. It definitely deserves more than 2 votes.

Is is supposed to be small. It is the small map. And teh reason there are only two votes it that everyone knows I will lose. There is no point in voting for a loser. :D :D :D

I did not even vote for myself.

Goooooooooo B!

Yeah, I know, rj's map is an aesthetic wonderment (as always), but oak's map is pure unadulterated brilliance.

Tricky decision for me - I went with B - But I really like RJ's A too.
WM's C is only a close third too - the only thing that turned me off that was the legibility.

C.

My favorite would've been the combination of:
B's cleanliness of the actual map
B's readable font
A's "continents" bonus map
A's dark and clear non-crossing borders
B's lack of ALL CAPS
C's small size but with the stuff on the left also cropped off
B's trivia, but not the placement of the stuff on the left making the image bigger than it needs to be

rj's map as always is gorgeous but i opted for oatown's - all I can say is wow  she's a beauty and I'm amazed its not winning that said what rj has done looks class (as always)
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

I think we can safely say that this has been the most successful competition to date in the foundry.

True dat. oak's got my vote.

No matter who wins, the ugliest map will become one of the most beautifull.
