Five Year Membership Plan

PostPosted: Sat Feb 27, 2010 4:22 pm

Concise description:
  • ConquerClub offers a Five Year Membership Plan at a discounted rate

Specifics:
  • Members would pay a discounted rate for a 5 year plan as opposed to only buying one year at a time

This will improve the following aspects of the site:
  • by allowing players to not have to run the hassle of renewing their subscriptions every year
  • would allow members to save money on a five year plan
  • would allow Conquer Club to retain memberships longer than just 1 year

Well, you wouldn't make it fifty bucks. It would make my life easier that I only have to pay Lack one fee of a certain amount, but I know that that amount would be more that fifty bucks. If I was going to pay a permanent membership, I would be willing to dish out 300 bucks. If I just pay out 25 bucks every year, there might be a year where I decide that I want to just do freemium and not pay anything. This gives the site a wider range of receiving finances and allows members the luxury of never having to pay a 25 dollar fee ever again! Of course, the amount would have to be decided by CC, I only used 300 bucks as an example of what I would be willing to pay for a perm membership on Conquer Club.

Well i cant imagine people would buy more than five years in advance... thats $125. So perhaps if lack offered five years for $100, then people would purchase?

Hmmm? Five year memberships? But I still have to be bugged about my renewal, I really don't want to deal with that. But if CC instated a 5 year plan instead, I would support it.

Not a bad idea to offer discounts for advance purchases, although he'd probably have to stipulate that an account will not be frozen in the event a member must depart for a time; that the years are consecutive only, no skipping.

Okay, I'm down with a five year membership deal that would offer members a chance to save some money and also allow CC to retain memberships for a period more than one year at a time. It works for me. I'll edit the form...

Interesting ideas, thought I would bump this thread up. Here's a few different proposals for you.

2 year membership = $45 (save $5)
5 year membership = $100/$110/$120 (save $25/$15/$5)
Lifetime membership = $200 to $500 (Ok.... )

Cheers, JB ;)

I don't know who said that, but they were clearly retarded, CC was growing all through 2007 and most of 2008. But 5 years is an eternity for any site on the web. Hell, Youtube is only 5 years old.

I disagree with you mibi. I think that CC will still be here in five years time, and will be better than ever before. :)

I agree with joshyboy.. Where would CC go? People wouldn't just stop coming here... even if the forums start to die out, the games would still continue

And even if lack up and leaves, there are many players that would be glad to step up and take his place.

I don't think so. My prediction, CC will shed half of its current membership levels within 18 months.

Your point?

Youtube is as big as it ever was now...

The site will remain alive as long as lack and the other admins keep it alive. It's about updating the site as much as possible, not letting it remain static, as people will just become bored with it. And now that there's a new, dedicated programmer, there are (hopefully) a bunch of big new updates to come.

5-year-plan..... that sounds familier....... 8-[ ... I do like the idea of not having to renew subscription, but super discounted rate wouldnt be good
