Concise description:
  • Add forum banned users to a Banned group

Specifics/Details:
  • Instead of adding users to the default guests group, add them to a Banned group that has Never permissions set to prevent posting, and sending of PM's, but allows reading of PM's

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • Forum Banned Members will show up on the online list and will be able to read PM's sent to them.

I'm confident that when a user gets banned, it's preprogrammed in the PHP software to execute a certain way. I doubt lackattack would want to go through all the trouble to modify that. If being banned is a bummer - just behave? I really don't know what else there is to this.

I'm confident that ConquerClub uses the phpBB software and I have helped with its support for about three years, this is very possible, and would only take a few clicks to implement.

I understand where you're coming from, but for the amount of people it actually affects, you have to ask if its even worth it, regardless of how long it takes.

and it would mean time spent helping those who've misbehaved that could be used for something else
