I completely agree with this kind of logic. There's no reason for that extra click. And it seems like a simple coding fix. We're working on getting some improvements underway. I'm going to send this to SUBMITTED as it seems like a really quick and obvious fix. Is there any reason not to do this?

No, you're right, this is indeed a pretty easy one to implement and there's no other text boxes on the CC home page that would otherwise want to draw the focus.

Along with this, it would be great if this happened for all pages on the site.

For instance, when I'm inviting people to a tournament, I have to click on the text box for every invitation. It would be great for tournament organizers, if the cursor was already there.

Yes, this is a logical request and when we get to this in the queue I'll also ask about making this change for the invitation page. But you'll have to be specific about other pages and where the focus should be set.

It should be any page with a text box. The end.

This has (as far as I can tell) been IMPLEMENTED.

The autofocus on a reply should be set to the body text box not the title text box.

Probably the greatest suggestion this site has ever seen.

Why thank you sir.

This was one of my first log-ins back after a sabbatical due to school work. I was pleasantly surprised this change happened.

FYI, the autofocus has also been added to several other fields on this site. We've covered just about everywhere that there's a textbox. The only thing left is to get the Post Reply button to focus in the proper area.
