I had the idea that you could make a 1 player game where you play against the computer. The computer could be programmed to play at the same level you do. This will help low level people earn some points and high levelled a challenge.

I like the idea but i think it would take a lot to program it. Like time, money and staff.

Great idea and i think many would use it. Although i can't see this happening as it will cost a lot of time and money to produce.

2 things
1) next time use the form
2) this will result in abuse by the top players

No I don't like this idea at all. This site is about competing with other players. And Cena's probably right too.

How would points be gained/lost? We've already established that there is an inflation problem. This would add more points to the system. I think no point games would be a better idea than this.

Oddly enough I've (or maybe it was someone else) well anyway somebody suggested a tutorial system that was somewhat like this. It wouldn't be actual games though.
All tutorials would likely just be 1 player objective only maps against a neutral with no point gain or loss. If they ever get made.

The Computer could lose/gain points - so it would go up and down the scoreboard... depending on how well Lack programmed it - it would do well - and take points out - or if it was crap then it would end up with Simtom!!

Haha, by the title I was thinking that you were suggesting playing with yourself!
Anyways, I believe that this could work for no points, but as soon as you add points into the mix, there could be flaws in the system, making it easy, or more difficult to win!

I don't like it. Next thing you know we'll start replacing people in the real world with computers and next thing you know we'll have machine overlords and humanity will be on the brink of extinction....that is, until Arnold Schwarzenegger comes to save us all.

I don't see the point of this... I mean, with 20 thousand people on the scoreboard, it shouldn't be too hard to find somebody of your own level now, should it?

not so much to play somone your level, but to practice. A person has a life and can leave at any minute, not to mention that they might take 5-55 minutes to take their turns. A computer would play faster and you can play it whenever you want at your leasure

Or you can buy premium and they'll take 5 seconds to 5 minutes...

I was thinking more of the AI being a premium only option
