Randomize Turn Order

Here's one that's probably been suggested 10,002 times:
In a sequential game, the last guy to act is at a disadvantage for at least a couple of rounds, sometimes longer.
Why not when the countries are randomly divided up, the turn order is randomly done as well?
Any love for that one?

Could work well, especially for team games so it isn't one team then the other team, giving the first team a big advantage.
Disadvantage?

I'm not sure there really is a disadvantage. The first couple of guys to go have to contend with the fact that there are three armies on every territory. I would perfer to take my turn after a few players have moved around and left some one spots for me to attack.
I do see a slight advantage as far as staking out a continent, etc. But just being there first doesn't guarantee that you'll end up with it.

In a singles game I don't really think it matters who has the first turn. But I do think that there should be random order for team games. It's not really fair having both team members go one right after the other.

I agree with randomizing who goes first in a sequential game. I'm going to try and prioritize it for this weekend.

Can you maybe just make that an option?

I don't like too many options. I want to keep things simple. Random is fair and seems to be better than anything else.
