The new 'Game Finder' setup is simply not as easy to navigate as the old one. There are too many things cramped down on the bottom to be fast and efficient in looking for certain games. Bring back the old setup where 'With Player' and 'And Player' were at the top.

I for one sometimes have to find a game in a split second to join with my friends as i'm sure everyone does and the new setup slows the process down dramatically.

Also if we are going to implement a new game finding system is there any suggestions.

Simply having the "add player" search bars on top again would make things A LOT easier... I don't see why it should be all the way down..

ARMY, please be patient and don't spam up your own thread!

You've raised your concerns and lack has advised that he will be making further changes.
Since lack obviously has an eye on this thread I'd suggest that we take the opportunity to constructively discuss what improvements we'd like to the current version.

(If you'd simply like to "bring back the old game finder" then there is no need to re-post that.)

Personally I'd like to see more flexibility along the "with player"/"excluding player" lines ... as discussed by yeti, Andy and others in the Add Players 3 and 4 to the Game Finder [Done] thread.

Hold on a second, if you are not aware, the vs player and exclude player boxes are from Map Rank, not the site.

i don't know if we can implement this but is there any way that a open position in a game waiting for players could be "reserved". I play a lot of games with my brother and it is hard for us to time eachother online so joining a doubles game together is tough. I have recently needed to log on to his name just to join games because every time we would try to time eachother being online to join games some other person would join the game. This also happens with quads or trips. It is hard for a team of 4 to join games because before all 4 people could join another player outside the team would join. So a "reserved" button or something of that nature would be great.

ARMY, I say again please don't spam up your thread! The suggestion is a good one but it's off topic here!

I miss the way I could use Map Rank and it's save options to fill my search choices automatically.
Now I have to go through and check my options instead of just using Map Rank to load the form and then pressing the search button.

I think it is just one of those things you will get used to in about a week, but it feels uncomfortable now because you have been doing it the other way around.

Personally, I would like it if all the options were at the top, above the map list...

Wouldn't it make sense to have everything at the top above the maps (in other words, the map selections are the last item)? It seems pretty logical to me that there's no real reason for anything to be below the map selections themselves.
