Could you extend the maximum no. of games back to 5 for freemium?

This would only make fewer people get premium membership and therefore the site's owners will receive less money. I don't see any reason why this won't be implemented as soon as possible.

Yes, extend it to 5, then I'll ask to move it to 6, then to 7, then to 8... eventually to unlimited games. In my opinion, freemiums should only have 1 game at a time, be glad that lack is more generous than I am and gives you four.

The limit has been 4 games since early 2006. Don't expect it to change any time soon!

Collect about 500 soda cans. Take them down to the recycling center and I think they'll pay for them.
5c per can, that'd be enough to buy a membership.

There are plenty of ways to collect $25, just be a bit creative.
You could even put your spare change in a jar. 6.8c per day and you'll have $25 by the end of the year.

Problem for some is that you also have to figure in the exchange rate - for Canadians at the moment that is $32.21, from the online currency calculator I just checked - and the cost of the cheque or money order used to pay for the membership. (Not everyone here has a credit card I would assume.)

PayPal can be linked to a bank account, without having a credit card.

Fact is, most places give you a set time limit. You guys are getting unlimited games, you can play as many as you want, forever and ever, just as long as you only have 4 active at a time. Which is more than reasonable. I mean, when you think about it, what other things can you get for 25USD? Dinner for 2? A movie for your family? Half a ticket to an amusement park? A new DVD? Basically, a few hours worth of entertainment. Whereas a CC membership lasts one year. One full year. A little under 7 cents a day, under a cent for a couple hours. It's all about perspective. And it's not like you don't have alternative means either, refer some friends or some random people on the internet, and hope they buy prem. If they do, you get a free month. Quit your whinging, it's not like you've got it all that rough.

yeah, but it gets real irritating if you don't get to play for a few days, and if I fill up all four games, I want to play, but I can't

I had a bit of sympathy around here somewhere, but someone kidnapped it, and they're asking for a ransom. Can you help me find my sympathy for you? They're only asking for 25 USD.

I totally get that feeling of being trapped in freemium...

The only reason I am trapped though, it is because I am playing in Freemium Tournament and if I buy premium, I will get kicked out

No joke, if you can't pay, look out for tournaments that offer some free premium !!!

Like mine.... I think there is one spot left...[edit: Maybe in Tournament II. stay tuned!!!)

well way back when i was still freemium i always kept one slot open for what we called RT games. real time since there was no speed games then. so just keep one open and you'll have one slot available for anytime use. or just open your wallet a little or do some odd jobs or just redirect other funds and pay up so you can play all u want

look for tournaments that offer premium....That is how i got mine (thanks autoload). There are usually 1 or two tournaments where it is offered. And every now and again there is a freemium only tournament.

Yes, but they're usually pretty tough tournaments. I'm running two right now that give it out. One with 32 players and one with 64.

yup....well selective tournaments and/or contests. You need to browse the forum to find them obviously. Ask a friend/family to pay for a premium membership if you cannot afford it. Been there, and finally found a job and now can afford this membership. But, as a previous freemium....to open up more slots would be unfair for paid members. It's not like there's special advantages other then setting up private games and having unlimited games. Maybe if we received a happy ending......
