[Rules] Earn Ability to Miss More Consecutive Turns

Many new people deadbeat after a few turns and some people skip turns on purpose or deadbeat out of games they just don't like.

Have each member have a setting that would display in their profile from 1 to 3 that would be the number of turns for them to skip to get kicked out of a game.

Each new member would start with a setting of 2. Two skipped turns in a row and they are out.

Every member can improve their deadbeat limit by completing 20 games in a row without missing a turn. Each time they do this it would increase their deadbeat limit by 1 up to a max of 3.

Every member could have their deadbeat limit decreased by 1 by deadbeating, down to a minimum of 1.

Players who deadbeat a lot would wind up with a deadbeat limit of 1 and then if they missed just 1 turn they would get kicked out. Any player can increase their deadbeat limit up to the current level of 3 by completing enough games in a row without missing a turn.

If keeping track of all the turns in all the games is too complicated it could be based on time. If you don't skip a turn in 30 days your deadbeat limit goes up by 1. If you deadbeat it goes down by 1.

It would also be good to incorporate an overall game limit for the number of skipped turns that could be tied to this same number. Someone with a deadbeat limit of 2 would get kicked if they missed two in a row or four total. Someone with a limit of 3 would get kicked if they missed 3 in a row or six total.

Interesting idea.

You do realize that it can take a really long time to complete 20 games, Free players only play 4 games and especially with no card games and such that can last over 50 turns.

Plus you have to consider that when a player deadbeats, usually its in several games at the same time so they get dropped to 1 with no middle point.

Good points. The parameters are certainly open to some fine tuning (or gross tuning for that matter.)

20 games can be a long time. I thought about maybe 10 at first but it depends on how bad you think deadbeating is. I want a way out for people but not an easy way out.

Dropping all the way to 1 from 3 is not a problem for me. I've had people deadbeat in one game and keep playing in another.

The main idea here is to start new people at 2 instead of the current three and to have some kind of carrot and stick method or encouraging good behavior.

Maybe you can also make a different system, depending on the turn in which people skip their turn:

-If they skip in their 1st or 2nd turn --> directly out of the game
-If they skip 2 turns in a row from the 3rd till 6th turn --> out of the game
-After that the normal way it is now

-And maybe also impose a limit for total missed turns in a game. So after the 3rd missed turn (shouldn't be in a row) they are also kicked out.

In this way people don't have to wait 3 days on (new) players that subscribe for a game, but don't play at all. Also the tactical turn skipping is limited in this way.
