Clickable Maps Auto Advance

Postby Nanogram on Thu May 13, 2010 11:56 am

Sometimes CM automatically advances when I don't want it to. This has happened several times and it has cost me two games already - Very frustrating. I am not holding the "Alt" key down. I tried using "attack" rather than "Auto Attack" and it still does the same thing. I tried using the manual attack buttons under the map ("from", "to" buttons) and it still does the same thing. Is this a problem with CM or is it another problem?

yeah, you seem to be right (happens only if an auto advance fails first). I'll update the code.

Thanks! Please let me know as soon as it's done. I need to fix this problem before I get busted down to Sergeant!

It's not easy to test it (especially because I only play a few games at a time), but I upgraded the code already. Once I've tested it, I'll upgrade the version.

Mac doesn't have an official "alt" button.
Try pressing "options" button - should look like this: Image

If it is not working - sherkaner needs to grab the key-code and alter the script a bit.

Looks like the key-code isn't going to work (see http://www.quirksmode.org/js/keys.html , though a little outdated), but alt should actually.
I'll wait for some confirmation now.

Anyway to convert the auto-advance back to the previous version 'CTRL' instead of 'ALT', coming back from not playing in such awhile and then having to adjust from one to the other, it's creating havoc in my speed games. Control is apparently the hotkey for entering armies to advance ?

I'm also experiencing another issue with CM as well-- there are flashing squares that appear randomly ( all over ) on my screen when I refresh.
