I will think for it for a few days - maybe it will be better to leave it out of the add-on.

I can still add the icon if that's needed.

Also I can add monitoring opposition playing games as a global option I suppose.

Already started it.

Freestyle players : If it's your turn and someone else is playing which icon do you want to see?

Your ready icon or their playing icon?

I would prefer their playing icon. (or maybe a combo?)

1.6.3 available

I've added the icon to the statusbar right-click menu.
There is a new global setting to add games when any player is playing.
The number of turns displayed will still remain as per the view.

What's the problem with it? It would help if you reported problems.

This script is sure to be a staple for me or anybody that plays CC while at work. Keeping watch without having CC open is a great idea. That little green dot in the bottom left with a time remaining is pure genius. Also with the added features of adding in teammates and or people sitting this is a must have.

Thanks a lot, Bruce, nice to see more feedback.

Just for your info, I always update the help window. So please browse that to see new feature details.

This time you can look at Getting Started and Game Jump buttons.
If upgrading from 1.2 then you will need to look at all buttons on the help page.

It doesn't affect speed games. It works outside of the web page , that's why I did it.

It is a browser add-on so works in the browser software.
A Greasemonkey script is a webpage add-on so works on the webpage.
A similar GM script would slow the page down so I decided to do an add-on.

If you use this you will see no impact on webpage browsing so you should feel confident with using it in speed games.

There is no slow down in regards to speed games.

Chip,

just wanted to tell you that I'm currently co-sitting for a few players on vacation, and this add-on is really great for it. No worries about it, just set it up and it works great!

Thanks a lot! Multiple user monitoring definitely makes sitting easier.
I must credit Masli and bruceswar for insisting this was a feature.

I noticed one minor issue. Right now I have a bit shaky internet (a loss of it for a few seconds every hour or so). If Speedy Turns tries to check status of my games during the downtime, it "hangs": that black circle ("refreshing") keeps being shown in the corner of status bar and statuses of my games are not updated anymore (even though Internet works again and I do have some turns to make) until I make "manual refresh".

But as I said, it is just a minor issue. Maybe it's not really worth fixing.

Apart from that, THANKS A LOT for this great extension! =D>

Manual refresh is how it was programed. Works nicely!

Hey, I was wondering if you could add the following to the default preferences.

Code: Select all
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.user" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.username" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.timer" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.view" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.auto" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.first" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.sitters" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.sitternames" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.mygames" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.history" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.historynames" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.browser" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.opentab" , true);
pref("services.sync.prefs.extensions.ccspeedturns.anyone" , true);

They tell Firefox Sync to synchronize Speed Turns' preferences between browsers. :D
For someone without Firefox Sync, it will have no effect.

Yeah I don't see why not although I will need to implement additional features to warrant
going through Mozilla's update procedure. (i.e. I don't want to make an update just for this)

This post is pretty much for marking my interest so I wouldn't forget to get it when I get home from work. I wish I would have found it earlier when I was sitting for several people at once #-o
