Ok, I've installed this, but I don't see any "Bookmark Search" button. I have a "Bookmark Map Rank", but no button for the search.

What am I overlooking?

sorry Woodruff

Are you sure it is enabled? Check that, if it isn't, enable it. If that doesn't work, what else do you have installed and what version of Firefox are you running? You can also try uninstalling & reinstalling.

Yep, it's enabled. I'm running Windows XP with Firefox 3.6.13. My other Greasemonkey scripts (both of which work fine) are Map Rank and Tour Stats.

And this is weird...I uninstalled and re-installed, and now it's not called "Saved Search" or whatever it was called before. Now it's called
"41804". And still not working.

too weird for me!!! chip will get back to you soon, i'm sure!!! the only thing i see is i don't have Tour Stats, and mine is still working. Maybe there is an issue between the two? I doubt it, but it's all i see as a difference between what you have and mine. But try moving Saved Searches above Tour Stats & refresh...just a thought as i remember when BOB and clickies (i think it was clickies) had a similar issue as to the order in the menu...

Good thought, since I also am using Tour Stats. But I made the switch, and it doesn't seem to have made a difference.

jricart, when you re-installed it, did it give a different name to it of "41804" like it did to mine?

Ok, now its working and here is what I did:

1 - Un-install the script, but also checked the option: "Also Uninstall Associated Preferences"
2 - Then I re-install it again
3 - Turn off all scripts
4 - Move "Saved Search" script to the top of the list
5 - Go to the "Game Finder" page to make it work
6 - Turn On all the scripts again.

It might be some kind of bug with greasemonkey, but at least I found how to make it work.

Thanks.

Well done, jricart, this also fixed it for me. Someone should either take a look as to why this is happening or, at the very least, include these directions for installing the script so that it will work.

It looks like there is still a problem with the script - it doesn't seem to work with Tournaments. I set up a saved search for my tournament, and when I run it, it pulls up different tournaments.

I believe this is because the tournament is recorded in a saved search by its index in the drop-down list. Unfortunately, this changes as tournaments start and end. What I think is needed is for the textual name to be saved, and for that text to be found in the list when the saved search is loaded.

That makes perfect sense, yes...I agree. Who is the developmental "in charge" individual for this particular script? I'll shoot them a PM and mention it.

Thanks!

Sorry, been busy with work but both problems now fixed.

Thanks for the reporting - this was accurate enough to save me a lot of time looking at this, the fixes were quick
as a result.

Just for confirmation - there was indeed a conflict between this script and Tournament Stats, fixed.
Also a fix for saved searches including tournaments is done.

mpjh informed me that Saved Searches has quit working. Tested it out a bit, and it stops working at the point of naming your search, the box pops up, i entered the name i wanted, clicked "ok", the box disappears, but nothing is listed under "Saved Searches". I tried uninstall/reinstall and no luck. I don't have any saved searches to test what is happening there. Thanks!

I have saved searches, but the "DEFAULT" search is not loaded by default, and the Load and Run links do nothing as well.

Site change for removing tournament dropdown has screwed this and tour stats up at the same time.

I uninstalled it to see if re-installing would fix things up, but now it's not even re-installing.

I hope somebody fixes this soon, this is one of the tools I used pretty much every day in my tournament management.
