Plugins Forum Reorganisation

Postby chipv on Wed Dec 31, 2008 9:40 pm

Some of you may have noticed but this forum is in the process of being reorganised.

Please read the threads

Users Guide
Developer's Guide

and put your comments here please.

There are still a few things to be done, but there is enough for people to comment before the process is complete.

Thanks in advance

Great work chip. I really like the two new announcement stickies. The formatting and layout is excellent.
I also like the [conqueror icon image] approved status.

Is the [READ] Utilities & Plugins for Conquer Club thread now officially deprecated? Will it gradually wander off the page?

Also, just out of curiosity/thinking aloud, is it in your grand plan to set up any subforums? For example something parallel to the Final Forge in the Foundry where scripts that are up and running are kept? That might be the only one necessary ... Retaining the main forum for general questions and ideas ...

Just thinking out loud, but it might be nice to add some code snippets for common tasks a script should perform. Such as adding menu items, persisting larger amounts of data, update notification etc. This should speed up making new scripts by letting the author focus on the functionality of the script itself. Also this would make it easier for new people to start scripting.

Yeah, quite a few of the tools on the old Utilities thread don't work so that will sink.

I would love to have a subforum but there is a problem with the post read status filtering up because we would have a sub-forum of a sub-forum and apparently this doesn't work without a hack.

A great idea. Someone also suggested some javascript tutorials as well.
