1.0.2 is now compatible with latest site changes.

Please update this immediately, under certain circumstances you may get a lock on the game page.

Click on New Update Available (doesn't flash red currently due to another change, should be ok next time).

peacemakers wrote:i've only recently just found this thread, i've not looked through plugsins and addons in the forums until now, and i'm concerned about this. i'm sure this is a pretty cool toy and chipv has put heaps of work into it, and by saying this i'm not meaning to discredit his efforts, but why should this be allowed? to attack or not to attack, to attempt to take someone out or not, how many troops to deploy & reinforce, to leave how many to protect bonuses; those decisions are precisely what this game is about. that is where the skill lies.

i feel cheated to know that i may have lost games to people who have had this add-on, who perhaps were told the probability of taking me out, to 17 decimal places, and how many troops they'll have leftover. this is a worrying trend. by allowing such tools as this, we are lowering the skill content of the game, and enhancing the luck element (dice & drop). what makes risk/cc great, is that it's predominantly a game of skill, with luck involved. I do not want to see it become a game of luck, with skill involved. i liken this to performance enhancing drugs in sport, as this is a performance enhancing tool.

i will never use this, no disrepect to you chipv, and if people have this and read this post i would appreciate then not playing me. foe me if you like. but if you lose to me, i will win unassisted. i hope when i lose to people, it's the same.

i hope i'm not the only person who doesn't agree with this direction. it's bordering on cheating. and where will it stop?

I used to use the gamesbyemail before this one, or my particular skills with probabalities
But as you say this is the tip of the iceberg. I also now have a script that tells me what cards everyone else has, my next card,
and what decision each player will make 2 moves in advance.

Yet I still find this game challenging.
Possibly the skill factor or those darned random dice.

Who knows?
Good luck in banning calculators and computers worldwide.

Would it be possible to add an On/Off button to the left-side menu? It would be nice to turn them on and off so they don't obscure other info (BOB..) Just a thouhgt. Otherwise its a great Addon. thanks

Please note that unlike BOB, whose menu appears on the left pretty much everywhere, this tool only appears on the actual game page, that is, after you have clicked "Enter Game". Are you still having problems?

It is not showing up for me even when I have entered the game and it was my turn. Is there any reason that someone can see that this should happen because I am positive I clicked the install button. :D

  • Is Greasemonkey enabled? (You should see a smiling monkey in bottom right corner of Firefox window.)
  • Is Assault Odds enabled? (When you are on a game page, right-click the smiling monkey and on the popup menu, you should see Conquer Club Assault Odds with a checkmark beside it.)
  • Do you have any Assault Odds features enabled for display? (Open the Assault Odds Options menu in the left hand side of the screen. If you have no check mark next to any of Quick Calc, Pathfinder or Statistics, then the only thing Assault Odds will put on the game page is its title, Assault Odds.)

There is a site change coming today. In advance I uploaded an accompanying change in order to keep the transition smooth, so you will have to wait until later today.

I've updated to 1.0.3

I'm sorry to report the Pathfinder part is broken in Chrome :(

I don't have any countries listed in my From territory dropdown. Can this be fixed?

thanks bro!

Pathfinder is not working for me in Firefox. Since the change, no countries are in the From dropdown, like numone.

Thanks again for the great mod!

Try the Refresh button in the Pathfinder pane. But I have noticed a problem too, this may only work once you have started a turn.

This is a great script. :) I think it will increase the skill content of the game because players will develope a more scientific and less superstitious attitude towards the dice. I find that after using it for a while, it becomes easier to guess the odds without using it.

I am finding this bug with the pathfinder occurs sporadically, with no obvious cause. Sometimes it fixes itself after i start my turn or after i enter a number in the deploy box, sometimes not. Sometimes it works fine from the word go.

This does not work properly if you are using Chatglove.
If I have my chat undocked, the assault script does not work (will not load terts for path evaluation)

To get it to work:
1) I need to dock the chat glove
2) Refresh the map
3) Refresh the assault odds button
4) wait for map inspect to finish loading (from BOB or clickies)
5) delete the 0 from the path options (it then resets to NaN)
6) Then the terts are available for picking in a drop down list.

Fixed. 1.0.4 available

chatglove was innocent, this was a straightforward mistake on aligning with latest site change.

You've made my day with this, I'm adding you as a friend =D>

Is there anything similar that also keeps track of the die rolls over time?

Is there any way to make you able to manipulate the calculations by putting in your own numbers? For example if you have an idea of how many troops your opponent has hidden in the fog, you should be able to set up the number of defenders yourself.

Also the pathfinder options isn't perfect as the tool thinks you have to advance the troops for every region you attack. Could this be fixed?

Btw, thanks for making one of the most useful tools on the site! =D>
