i've tried teaching 13 year olds the ins and outs of some of these maps before... it ends with me saying "really? you attacked that... really? "

Here's why I no longer feel any sympathy for barny....

I asked him to join two doubles with me so that I may teach him some new moves. He joined gratefully but I don't think he has once looked at team chat.

You cannot learn to play well if you do not want to learn...

2009-11-19 18:28:15 - Beckytheblondie [team]: fort 2 from b3 to a2...i will attack a3 next turn
2009-11-19 22:14:51 - ~barnygumble~ reinforced D2 with 2 troops from D1

Quit complaining barny if you are not even trying to get any better.

Maybe he's just stupid. Some people are. It's not their fault.

Telling someone, " three multiplied by seven equals twentyone, write that down" isn't teaching them.

Bad example, as telling someone that actually does teach them. I see your point, though it's wrong. If they're not stupid, they should be able to see why that's the correct move, and translate it into other games. Of course…

You obviously don't see my point. Telling someone the answer without explaining to them how to get the answer is not teaching them.
