Logs with Fog of War?

EDIT: I've already submitted this under the "bugs/feature requests" forum. I'd suggest we just end this thread on this board.

Hey everyone. Sorry if this is already asked, but I searched and didn't find anything.

In the logs of a game with Fog of War, I regularly see things like:
<Someone Else> took ? from nray.

Is that a bug? Why would I not know what they took from me? I don't see any reason why the logs should not show who took what from whom and give full details if you could see that spot when the action took place... Not knowing what I lost last turn is absurd, and if I can see two spots and someone takes one of them, it also makes no sense for me not to see it in the logs. It's not logging what you should know, which makes it useless...

So, my question is: is that a bug? Is there a feature request out there to get it fixed/changed? It is on purpose?

Thanks.

well...its not a bug...its the beauty of fog...i dont like fog but thats it...all moves are secret...if it tells where this guy attacked then you will know where his movements are...his moves would be exposed to u and u might be able to tell what he owns...if u want to know what he owns...simply dont play fog

I agree completely. Its always bugged me as well...I'm fine playing fog of war games, but its like you're almost forced to remember exactly everything you have so that you can tell who is taking what from you. The other thing I don't like is not at least being able to see initially how many armies they move. Though in fog of war I'd also like to see other players moves in general turned off in the logs if you wouldn't know this. I mean even seeing ? takes ? you still know exactly how many territories everyone has and roughly how strong they are.

Yes - this belongs in the sugs & bugs sub-forum.

Completely agree with original poster. Of course if you had all the time in the world, you could write down every territ you had and then compare and find which ones you lost. Impossible if you a) have a life and b) can't monitor the game 24/7/365.

i recommend making a snapshot or screenshot after every turn that you take. Though you still don't get all the information that you possibliy get if you watch your opponents taking their turns.

when the games over you can go back and read the game log, so as to learn from your mistakes or see just how you were beat
