New here. In order to get spoils to I have to just conquer any territory in that round and do that for 3 consecutive turns, or just conquer the territory listed under my spoils?

Just take any territory. Its not always just 3 turns. Its 3 of the same color cards, and or red,blue,green mixed set combo. But yes in order to get spoils u need to take territories/bombard (depends on the map)

If you conquer any territory or bombard any territory to neutral during your turn, you get 1 spoil at the end of that turn.

If, at the beginning of your turn, you have a set of 3 same colour spoils or 3 different colour spoils, you can cash that set for more troops (or for slaughter of those territories in nuclear games).

If, at the beginning of your turn, you have more than 4 spoils, you will be forced to cash a set (since having 5 or more spoils guarantees you have at least one set of spoils in your hand).
