parker's middle finger

This thread is about a dude named parker who started a silly game offering premium prize to whoever could guess his middle name. Someone guessed it, but the prize is slightly delayed. A bunch of people came in to harass him because he didn't get the prize to the winner that day.
He okay'd it, so here it is.
GIVE ME A BREAK, PEOPLE!
Who knows, maybe his Christmas bonus wasn't as high as he'd thought it would be so he has to wait for the next paycheck, or he thought it would take an additional two weeks before someone guessed and won.. or maybe, just maybe, he was being totally honest that he tried and had a kink that he requested help to resolve so he could buy the promised premie. Sometimes people do have technical difficulties. Good grief, he's not the first person to have difficulty getting the new pay system to work properly for them!
I walled him (if he didn't delete it, it's still there) that if it were me, if he's gonna be harassed like that anyway, he should reneg after all, not go thru the hassle of getting whatever the problem is resolved to buy premie for someone whose friends are going to harass him for a minor delay.
I don't know parker. Maybe it was his idea of a New Year's joke to pretend to offer prize then claim a delay so he could back out of it. Let's see, is that logical? ermm.. not! Why subject himself to that sort of nastiness if he didn't have to? He could easily have said, "Guess my middle name, prize is to know you did so," rather than, "premie prize offered.
I thought his offer was a cute way to play Santa to someone. But after seeing what's in that thread because Santa's sleigh got a little sidetracked for a bit, I think he's better off playing Scrooge BEFORE the visit of the three ghosts, or Mr. Grinch BEFORE he heard the Whos in Whoville sing.
Just my two cents; a lot cheaper than the $25 parker may or may not shell out at this point.
