Do I play against more Europeans?

I am usually on CC for an 8 hour window during the day. This is work time during North American time zones. This is typically late afternoon or evening for Europeans. As a result, I believe that I play against more Britains, Dutch and Botswanans than is average. Is this true? Are most players online during their country's night time? Are there active players against whom I have never played because of my log in window?

It comes down to when you create the initial games...as to who, time zone wise, joins them.

It may be interesting if you kept track of the nationality of opponents in your game over a week or two week period, to see if on average you seem to play more American or European players. Though I think a large percentage of players on CC are based in the USA. I know someone did a breakdown of the Scoreboard a few months ago...Hm...more fire for a sortable scoreboard.

Perhaps you play against more Europeans than most Americans do, but you probably still play against more Americans than any other nationality. US is by far the biggest CC user base, and about 60% of CC users come from NA. A lot of the rest do come from Europe, but there's also South American players that would probably be on the same time zone as yourself, and players from Asia/Oceania that would be completely out of sync.
