Can someone point me to the right topic, where this has been answered before? I can't find it.

Does a private game require all participating to be premium members? Can I become a premium member and play against my 2 buddies who are not?

Yes, your freemium buddies can join a private game started by you! (if you are premium)

While only Premium Members can create Private Games and send invitations to reserve spots, Freemium members can join Private games if invited or provided with the password.
