A lot of new maps have been made recently.

Which are your faves?
The best, the least loved?
Which should never have made it to Beta or beyond?
Do you think more maps = better choice?

The Hive = I wish there was a foe feature for a map so I could add this one.

My favorite new map is probably Central America, nice clean graphics, good simple gameplay, bonuses feel right. Flanders is beautifully drawn but the bonuses need serious tweaking. I don't like the world cup map at all. I'm pretty lukewarm on Atlantis - it seems like the game is quickly decided on the outer islands so the middle of the map is wasted space.

Other new maps that I like are Monsters, Dawn of Ages, Nordic Countries, and Italian Unification. German Unification hurts my eyes though.

Woodboro. I've only played a couple of rounds on it and I'm already in love with it.

I like German unification, Italian not so much - something about the geography, Germany just seems to suit my style of play better.

Dawn of ages is neat, although a bit complex - games tend to be long on this one, so I haven't been playing it as much as I'd like to.

Actually all the maps that have come out of the foundry the last two months have been great IMO.

I think Central America could become a new favorite map of mine...I'll have to play a couple of games on it, and see how things go, but it definitely has some potential.

If I really spoke my mind many map makers would be offended. I will hold off from that and just say Central America is nice. Well done!

I like the Japan map. Clean, easy to understand, good number of territories. Call me old-fashioned, but I like maps with "classic" style play over something like Monsters. Personal preference sort of thing.

i want a map that give 100 army auto deployment please

Japan is awesome. There's a lot of smaller bonus regions, so you really have to pay attention when playing a good team. It allows for a lot of strategy and the need for quick strategy changes pretty often. It's a great map for a comeback. I think I've already pulled off 2 or 3 of them.

Nordic Countries is nice. I like the color scheme and it just seems like a really "clean" map to me. It's perfect for either a trips or quad game.

And I think Monsters is a really good conquest map. At first you have a WTF moment, but after you figure out how to play it, it's quite fun. The theme and graphics are pretty cool and sets it apart from all of the other conquest maps.

I don't think I've played enough games on the other new maps to give an accurate opinion.

Dawn of ages is pretty sharp, tricky, but nice.

Of course I think more maps equals a better choice. I also think once a map is released it should stay in the system for the people that like it. St Patricks Day and The New World Cup map should be available at all times going forward. If people like to play them I don't see why they should be taken off the board.
