How do you suggest this would be accomplished? Letting them stay indefinitely in the game even when they miss turns?
All sympathies to the 45 Japanese players of CC... but I think those people have some more serious things to worry about than missing turns on CC right now.

Maybe their time before losing the turn might be extended to a week.

They still have the internet over there (mostly). Let them decide for themselves if they are going to miss turns.

I don't understand what people are getting offended about. Yeah there was a natural disaster. Yeah it killed a bunch of people in Japan. Yeah, thats bad. But this cant, and won't happen for several reasons: The rules of the website are that you have 24 hours to complete your turn, the only exceptions are if something happens globally with the website. If they are worried enough about their turns on an online game, I'm sure they would be able to find a way to get on, or someone could take their turns. And Finally, there is no way to target turns for only those from japan.

I seriously doubt that a Japanese player who was affected by the disaster is going to sign back onto CC and get pissed about losing points in a game. "Yeah, I'll make those funeral arrangements as soon as I'm done filling out this e-ticket." It's not going to be a priority.

I think this is really the key. When I was living through the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, I really didn't care about any online games I had going on. I feel very safe in saying that those who are being affected by the earthquake feel the same way.

my prayers go out to all the people affected by the devastation that japan went through. Saying that it really would not be feasible for cc to do that not every one in japan was affected by it! yes there where a some but not all of Japan. as for the joke (i thought it was funny does that make me a bad person

) Jokes are a human defense to situations we face that we can not explain or comprehend. Yes i still feel bad for those affected and for all those missing i hope they are reunited with there family with as little as possible death toll.
The only thing we can do (from America is pray and send aid) who cares about an online game?

Deepest sympathies to our Japanesse friends first and foremost.
As for "caymanmew" age = 15, don't bother entertaining his adolescent view.

This pretty much sums it up.
I would suggest, however, that people check the home location before getting upset about missed turns... but, most of us don't really get upset anyway, except when its repeated or there is "more to it".
