Right, CC will only charge you $25, however, the company makes the card, or a bank that does the transaction, may, and probably will, charge you additional fees. So if you purchase a $25 card, you may be unable to execute the purchase because of those additional fees by other operators.

Alright, so here's what happened in case anyone else wants to do a prepaid.
I bought the $25 Vanilla Visa prepaid card, right? It cost me $28.40 or something with this $3 something activation fee you pay at the counter. I later last night found out that the Visa prepaid cards don't work online. There's no information attached to the card so when they verify it, it has nothing to verify so it doesn't work.
Yeah, so, wasted $3 so far.
I go back to CVS, use the Visa card to buy an American Express card for $25, pay the new activation fee, and go home. I spend legit, 20 minutes getting bounced around on the phone trying to get a hold of someone, when finally my information goes through. Put down my name and number, good, go to CC's website, put in the numbers, and no good. Found out later that Paypal take out $1 for the transaction (because it was American Express I couldn't just use CC's website). I tried paypal 3 times, meaning they took out $3 <___<;
Apparently I'll "get my $3 in 3 - 8 business days." But I'm just gonna eat another $3 and go back to CVS, buy a $50 American Express card, call the number and put my information down, and THEN I'm pretty sure it should work because there's just no more reasons it shouldn't. e___e

Many of the big retailers sell them. You can also get them online.
Also there is a difference between a Visa/MC prepaid credit/debit card and a Visa/MC gift card.

I don't have a credit card, and my parents refuse to buy anything online. They're afraid of the internet, or people stealing their identity...etc. So I had to do something. Anyway, I'd recomend an American Express Pre-Paid card. From my experience, it was the easiest.

There is also PayPal, which I use for all my online puchases. You link a bank account to it (it is completely secure) and then you transfer money from your account as you use it. So if you only want/need $25, you only transfer $25 and once it clears (takes 6 days for Americans I believe, 8 for Canadians) you use it for whatever you want, and most sites accept PayPal, including CC and even EBay or kajiji

The thing i use for online payments are those two:
1) iDeal (iDeal works only if you have online banking, you log in to your bank account and you make a transaction to the company through a secure link that takes you to your bank, the payment is done instantly with no extra charges, not every website has it yet tho, but more and more website add this option)
(conquer club currently does not support this option)2) Paypal. (you can load your paypal with cash (from your bank, note it usually takes a few days to load), and use that cash to pay directly, you can also link a credit card to your paypal, and in some cases you can pay with paypal, and pay back to paypal later. (they wll give you some 'credit'). It's a very easy payment method for nearly every situation
(conquerclub supports this option)i have NEVER had any problem with those two, and i buy a lot of stuff online.
i don't have a credit card either.
If all else fails, try
a prepaid mastercard
