As far Championship I can't provide an answer right now, those tournament require a tremendous amount of work but it is on the table somehow and will see if that series will go to live again

All of these new Long tourneys the last year or 2 and still no CC Championships ................
Does not make sense.

USA Super Tourney
The Great War
ect


Seems like its preferential to what ever the ring leaders want.
CC Championships are for Bragging rights..... besides it gave medals.
I would suspect it would get tons more involvement than these other tourneys.
Please look at putting it back on the Calendar...........

Those long tournaments you mention aren't run by the same group of people.

USA Supertournament by Community team
Great War by community team

So totally unrelated to the championships team. (Tournament directors) not really what "the ring leaders want" it's just different teams doing their thing.

If that team is having hard time you might consider volunteering to help the championships specifically

Conquer Club Championships should be a Major tournament for this site
and held yearly. After a period of time it would probably become one of if not
the biggest tourney of the year.

Pitting the best players (and up and coming) against one another
in serious competition on a yearly basis would be good for the site.
It would also be a good advertising tool and could create more premium players.
I would suspect most players here are very competitive and it could be advertised as such.


I am kind of surprised its not thought of as being a huge benefit for CC.

....so with the above red quoted statement that came from you, you think you will get any sympathy from Mods, who should take on their RL free time to organize such a big event like just because you ask? I don't think so....

Now and to be more precise on why the Championship hasn't take place since last (first) edition is because the Auto Tournament tool is not yet friendly to run team games, that first edition tooks a lot of effort from motivated CC members (doesn't sound like you are one from it) to make those tournament up and running, the only type we could potentially put out would be the 1v1 and the Poly...but since we have done a series and crowned all those members it would make sense to run all type again.
It has been on our plate (TD, Community & admin) however we are waiting technical support from the automate to help us coming out with something less heavy to setup...Since you don't care organizing tournament you probably have no idea what it takes to run such an event like The Championship.

I hope this is clearing up your questions if not then sorry because it's all I have to say.

Nobody is "requiring" anyone to volunteer time.
However, the volunteers that are here have finite amounts of it themselves.
So it goes without saying without a volunteer, its unlikely to continue without someone else stepping up.

But simply explaining the situation was all that was necessary.

There is no need for Mad to demean someone multiple times,
for not having the time or computer knowledge, by not volunteering.
Assuming I am a deadbeat member is not cool in my book.
I have been very involved in CC over the years in ways (just like Mad)
that go unnoticed.

I have always showed appreciation for the tourney organizers.

In Mad's defense......
His aggressive response may not only come from frustration,
but also in how the aggressive culture that CC has allowed many of the renegade members
to run amuck verbally.

I meant no Ill will and felt like I was pulling teeth to understand what the entire situation was.
Its a tourney that I feel would be a huge + for the active members of this site.
I cant and wont run the CC Championships.......
But as I said prior.... I will assist in the small ways I can

It's very easy with electronic communication to give offense where none was intended. Email and fora combine the immediacy of speech with the power of the written word. It's easy to sound strident when you really didn't mean to. You can add emoticons and shit, but they have nowhere near the emotional warmth of real facial expressions.

Mad777 is an amazing workhorse. He pushes the tournament world forward all the time. His Madness in Rio series is quite possibly the single largest body of work by any tournament organizer ever, and at the same time he has made great strides with developing new and better autotournaments.

Willie is a workhorse in his own way. As deputy leader of OSA he's run many wars and pulled together all kinds of supporting data. He kept us together when benga pulled his disappearing act a couple years ago. The clan leaders and deputy clan leaders often do just as much work as the mods.

I don't think any offense was meant by either of them. I think we can all agree that we would love to see the Championships return, but there's just too much work for too few remaining tournament organizers. I remember we were considering restarting the Championships last October, but nobody had any time for it, so we pushed it to January, but nobody had any time for it then either, so we pushed it to April, and nobody had any time to spare in April, either, so in the end we just said f*ck it. The Championships will have to wait until the autotourney engine is upgraded to include team games. That's a frustrating element that never goes away. We'll see what next year brings.

If that "Team" is having a hard time....why havent they asked?
IMO its simply "ignore it and it will go away" Mentality

So what you are really saying is the Championships are of the lowest priority

Creating tourneys for the masses (Low rank) seems the only interest here anymore.
There are no tourneys to appease the higher ranked players.
Most of them wont play tourneys because of the many monkeys who create a clusterfxxx.
Seems only clan games and the rare few games higher ranked players create
are available...... Little Volume = Little Interest


I too am starting to lose interest in this site
