Why is the new recruit symbol a question mark? All other ranks have actual military ranks-esque, but a Question mark? Please someone explain.

Maybe its because no one knows how good they will be so they dont know what rank to give them...

and it helps to know who the new guys are, so i think the "?" is fine.

Because since they are new, it is unknown what rank they are and how much skill they have. So, they have a question mark until they play a few games.

When they were re-designing the ranks, I suggested a target for noobs, since that what they usually are: Easy points, but boring play.

don't forget that steven seagal is a cook in under siege, and he kicks ass.

I would agree though. Everyone recognizes the ranks... why have an out of place ranking symbol when you could have a resonable looking starting rank symbol. When you join up in the army you start as Cadet... correct me if im wrong. I also don't like the cook, its the one thing that keeps me fighting for my rank as I really don't wanna cook symbol beside my name! I doubt my rant will change things around here but i thought it best to get it off my chest.

Thanks.

All right so chef isn't actually military rank-esque. But the cook icon still is either silver or gold according to preimium the question mark is red. So though cook isn't a military position its icon appears to be more like a military position. Kinda.
