New filter for creating games

Postby NIghtwatcher on Mon Jul 09, 2018 1:08 am

Hi i am writing on this forum for first time so sorry if its not meant to be posted here but after 7 years of playing this game i thought that it would be nice if we could have another filter when creating new games. The filter would be for choosing what rank/ranking points players would be able to join the game. For example players above 1500 points and then only those players could join. This way we would be able to minimize the threat of having new players that will just drop out after 3 missing turns making the game less enjoyable for the rest of us.

I know it's not ideal, but you can set up private games for majors and above and post them here: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=62216

I think this has been suggested approximately 9325782345 times before and rejected every time. Go search the Suggestions forum and you might find a good discussion on it that you could potentially revive if you wanted to, but with the player base decreasing, I don't see an idea that segregates it happening.

NIghtwatcher, just make games with passwords then you can deny those pesky low score holders.

Yes, but thats because all the other suggestions have been made to limit point loss. This suggestion is so that the OP doesnt have to put up with newbies leaving the game after 3 turns. Thats the difference.

Pretty sure I can find you a cohort of reliable, high game, low ranked opponents if that helps
