Bot problem

WTF, over? We seem to be innundated with bullshit posts that recently appear to be humans making statements applicable to CC.

Pisses me off. Being digitally ignorant on this topic, isn't there something that can be done? Like the "I'm a human" test that, for instance, I had to put on my website contact page to avoid spam??

Mods??

To my knowledge, these "Spambot" accounts that are popping up are actual people that do it. So the Captcha of "I am not a robot" won't affect those. I think their goal is to make a post like you see, hoping they don't get caught immediately, then come back a week/10 days later to Edit the post to add in their Spam link.

We do have Anti-Spam in place that does catch a lot of Spam Accounts.

It could even be a disgruntled CC member.

Unfortunately we can not act until we can tie all the pieces together. I think I am almost there

But until our evidence is rock solid all we can do is delete and ban each newly created account as we come across them, reporting the spam helps us find them sooner, but not enough members do that these days.
