It's a small map, but with really clever strategic decisions to be made.

It's been one of my favourites since its launch.

It's also practically the official map of the super league, last season like half the top division players had it as their home map and even in the lower divisions where I lived it was like a solid 4-5/20 players' home map

There are two main draws I see, and why I think people like it for speed games:
1) There is actual important strategy and positioning
2) the games are incredibly fast, once you've solidified an advantage, the game ends pretty quick. People will also concede because the win is obvious at a certain point.

Compare point 1 to most 1v1 maps and the strategy is less important, dice can often overcome. The same still happens on baltic, but its a fun, pretty, fast and map where you can often respond to get an advantage, sometimes even with a poor drop.

What he said, also it's one of the few maps that plays really well, and often very differently based on the setting. Like no forts, adjacent, poly, etc. every different setting has a different style to it. Its the perfect map for speed junkies like myself. Sometimes it's (basically) over in a few rounds (like any map) and sometimes you're there for an hour and 30 rounds, you never know!
