Is it wrong to torture a jerk?

I'm playing this freemie who went straight into jerk mode. So, the game was fairly balanced and I'm making it my mission that his only escape from my slow-as-I-can-go death embrace is for him to deadbeat out.
I've never even considered doing this before. I'm really enjoying it so much that I'm thinking it must be wrong.
Isn't this a fair price to make a freemie pay for being a foul mouth whiner?

What did he do that was so wrong? So he complained about the dice... that's to be expected in 1v1 games.

Nothing too terrible. I said jerk which is a fairly mild characterization. What tweaked my sensibilities is that he got an awesome drop, got one bad turn of dice - although up to that point average overall - and started whining with swear words about it. I don't know; I just snapped and found it completely irritating.
I think I'm saying it is wrong what I'm doing. I just am coming to terms with how much I'm enjoying it.

I don't really care about feedback anymore. The site is overrun with smart mouthed ignorant brats, so I don't bother reading mine or others. Although, I'll be interested in reading this one, should it come.

It seemed like things were going fine there at the beginning. I think you made your point. If he continues then yeah, torture away.

I think that if you try to drag it out too long then he will find a way to turn it around and end up winning... but that's just me.

I looked at the game and the guy did nothing wrong and you are acting like a complete cockmuncher.

I don't really see what the guy did wrong.
Anyway, to answer your question, I think it is completely acceptable to torture someone who is being a complete tool.

I agree with nagerous. What did this guy to you that you want to drag the game out? So he abbreviated a curse word? That's it? You deserve whatever negative feedback he gives you cleveridea.

2007-08-05 15:35:39 - true: whatever, I just got dealt a country on the drop and am going to lose by turn 6 cause my dice suck so fckn bad
2007-08-05 15:38:06 - cleveridea: got a bad case of the whiny bitch dontcha?
Yes, he was complaining bout the dice, but you are the one that did the name calling. So your punishing him for something you started.

I guess it depends on what you define as
starting. I snapped before I started name calling. His unmitigated self-pity when the game was handed to him drove me over the edge very quickly for whatever reason.
I think that being a whiner is one of the greatest crimes on a gaming site. Punishment must continue.

You must be in Europe. CC has the kindness to show time from each of our own perspectives. My coffee time is your supper time I suppose.

I see your point. Yes, it is quite annoying when people complain about the dice. Its random, so people should just get over it. (Though many take the game "too" seriously)
But in this case, you said just the right thing to make matters worse, sorta "pressing his buttons". If he continues with the attitue and everything, I guess there is SOME justification as to delaying the game, however, its not going to help matters.

I've always felt that complaining about the dice was a way to build a relationship in an otherwise adversarial game. We all hate the dice at times, so complaining about them is appealing to shared experience.
I read the chat, and it appears that you are angry and vindictive because he is frustrated. And as a Freemie, I despise the tactic your using on principle, although it could be acceptable under certain circumstances. This is not one of them.

I know that, I was trying to head the discussion of into an other directon.
