I got this idea from kenny c and decided why not ill do it,too. It will be just like his. Same settings except no cards. Also after each move you must post your strategy about that move and what you were thinking here in this thread. This will give an oppurtunity for everyone to learn various strategies for playing the game. Now to the good stuff.

I am glad the initiative is spreading, I would join if I wasn't limited untill my payment for Premium came through. I will follow this game though in the hope it will teach me something.

I joined as well. I was hesitant to join because of my inexperience with a no-cards game setting, but decided it would be a good learning experience.
I encourage all thread readers to offer their strategy opinions for my turns.

And so the game has begun!
First off, I think there is some Conquer Club God out there that basically put all my armies into Central US AND let me have the first turn.
Right now, I'm just fortifying and making sure that I have a strong position for later in the game.

after the first of the other players turns, i have been the only one attacked so far, which puts me into a weak position from the start. I also don't have a very good drop that gives me a nice little corner of the map.
Ultimately this turn was about consolidating forces and preparing to dig in somewhere. Not sure where to go yet.
Yellow worries me the most. Even tho green had a good drop too, no one is in a position as good as yellow.

Ok, I used my first turn to 'fortify' my hold on the tropics and the west as stated in the game chat. I don't really see much other options. Well I do but I have to make a descision or be divided before the battle. And being divided=being conquered

Still pretty much in defense mode. I don't like where red is putting forces and teal, well, teal has a good position right next to me. Yellow will be a threat in the future. Blue right now, I'm not to worried about.

You shouldn't be, I'm not anything near a threat. My territories are scattered, my forces divided(Going for both south and west may be a very bad idea)
Anyway, I spent my turn putting 2 armies on the 5 of california and 2 on panama, taking over nicaragua. I hate the dice gods, (enemy had 1 army left and threw 3 consecutive 6's)

Turn 2
I deployed to my consolidated army on michigan and made a run at french canada, a region that is easy to hold if you can get it and to this point in the game no one else has made a claim on.
The dice were decent (lost 3, killed 6). I am in a better position to chip away at french canada now.

More fortifying. Mainly against Red. Yellow worries me. All ready has a bonus and is looking good to get another.

Ok I have attacked once more in the south, taken 1 territory. I have kept my units on california where they are, Next turn I'm moving out, either on yellow or back south.

yellow will win this game if he keeps getting that bonus without any opposition. i am the smallest player in terms of armies.
i made big strides in this turn with the two victories in french canada. i hope blue blitz's yellow and red does get into position to oppose yellow's western front.

I know I didn't post anything last night during my turn, but here's the run down.
1. Took Michigan and made sure that I only need one more area so that I can take Central U.S.
2. Took Saskatchewan. Klupar right now can put out 8 armies a turn and that worries me. If I can slow him down any bit, that is how I will do it. I'm really worried about Utah though. I used a number of those troops to fortify Saskatchewan and if Kratos takes Utah, I won't be able to slow Klupar down at all.
That's about it for now.
