double troops for x amount of rounds

how is it players occasionally get double troops for some odd amount of rounds?? the game will even say so and so will receive double the troops say for 2 rounds. ive seen it happen a couple times and was just curious.

If they miss their turn, when they come back they get their regular number of armies multiplied by the rounds they missed.

I agree, it gives people an unfair advantage after missing turns and many people miss turns intentionally so they can dump a bunch of troops down when no one expects it.
