Conquer Club

I am organising a live Conquer Club tournament in Melbourne next Easter as part of the 2009 Conquest Convention.

To give you some background, Conquest is a four day Games Convention held each year at Easter. They run many different games and events such as Table Top, Roleplaying, Freeforms, Miniatures and Board/Card games. They also run special events such as demonstration games.

After discussions with the organisers singing the praises of CC they have invited me to organise a CC event. I have the full support of lackattack to run the event.

Now I need to know if any of you would like to come to Melbourne AUSTRALIA and play CC all weekend. Due to time constraints it would have to be a Speed Game Tournament and those details are yet to be worked out. You will need a laptop with wireless broadband access preferably.

So if you are interested in attending please email me and include which state you are in. Tournament details will be posted closer to the event, which will be open to all Premium members. At this stage this is purely to ascertain if anyone would be interested in attending, it is not a commitment.

i just mean the nature of CC players in general!!! can you imagine a speed freestyle game with the guys in the same rule? someone thinks someones tactics are cheating, someone calls someone a wanker in the game chat.. BOOM!!! someone hit upside the head with a laptop and lack is flying to do larry king live defending his site!! so damn cool...-0

I bet half of the extreme speed freestyle nerds don't have the guts to call someone they don't know a wanker when they are in the same room as them.

most likely....would still be fun as....its only a $60 buck flight for me...so yer

i might get a train down from Sydney, not sure.

haven't been to one of those in 10 years but the new D&D will be out so maybe.

This is freakin' weird... I was driving home last night and had the same idea of a cc-face off convention. Great idea... (they should make an exception for freemium speed games if someone goes through all the trouble to treck down under for this - not that poor guys like me who can't afford $25 to join can pony up for a plan ticket , but still I like the idea...)

sure, you could play... if one of your 4 game slots were open... i mean, you want a freemium hall of fame, but look for any opportunity to be given more games at the drop of a hat!! which is it? proud of your freemium defiance or looking for PREMIUM WELFARE?-0

Actually Owen, you might be right... I'd only need one open slot to make the podium... AND I still have the two free speed games they gave us all when the site tanked... maybe if the site tanks a few more times, I'll have enough to play at the CC-fest (you'll spot me a ride on your private jet, right o-man)...

Yeah the weather is always great in Melbourne

Sounds like a great idea though. Even though i would love to play, Cairns is just about the furtherest you could get from Melbourne and still be in Australia. Good luck with it all, i hope it takes place.
