Is there a way to set up your profile so that your signature is set to default post?

That seems to make more sense than having to click the button every time.

Yes there is. Go to control panel, board preferences, and then edit posting defaults. then click yes for "attach sig by default"

looks like he turned it off and forgot how to turn it back on.

my posting defaults got reset when i was forum banned, and then again when i was forum banned again.
