Lets not take this to flame wars, but I think it is determined completely by the ratio: # of his accounts in a game : # of other people's accounts in a game. That is all I am saying, interpret it as you like.

Well said, this is a discussion. We are not whining or CC bashing here. I fully understand why lack has chosen to include pm's amongst the loss of priv's once forum banned. However, I'm certain from managing TUC's forums that you can turn pm rights on/off by a click of a button . Now being able to to put this people in a "banned" usergroup im uncertain of!

You break the rules and you should get punished. I agree with that but please this is foremost a gaming site and to game properly you need the pm facility. Imagine the CC community without anyone being able to pm. Do you really think the site would be like it is today?

Also: Yeah, we should totally have PMs when we get banned. Because if we don't then I, sorry, I mean other naughty users, will be 100% more likely to create a multi to say their goodbyes with after banning. And as we've seen, one multi leads to another, and another, and another, and a Norse.

Hulmey, thanks for starting the discussion.

I'll say right now that trolls wont get be getting PMs back any time soon.

Now that I've set you sufficiently in opposition to what I'm about to say that you tune it out and don't actually consider it, let me begin

The forum guidelines state what kind of poster is and is not welcome at CC. If someone violates those guidelines, they are not welcome as a part of the CC community any more. PM is a community feature, and so if you are not welcome in the community any more, then you lose PM. If the loss of that community feature affects your ability to play a game, then that is part of your punishment for violating the community guidelines. Users who have received a permanent ban from the forum have all generally gone through at least 3 previous forum bans and so know that they will lose PMs.

In other words: people who are permanently banned from the forums know in advance that a) they are violating the community guidelines, b) will lose their PMs if they continue to violate them and c) continue to violate those guidelines even knowing the consequences.

If you know what the consequences are and still keep doing what you're doing, then don't complain when what you know is going to happen, happens. It's just plain silly.

To say that it is illegal, immoral or otherwise incorrect to do so is even sillier. How is it illegal or immoral to leave most features of the site available to a person who has repeatedly and clearly broken the rules especially when our rules very very clearly state

Conquer Club reserves the right to suspend accounts and cancel Premium Memberships, with or without warning, of those players who are deemed to have violated the rules.

We leave most features available, even when we don't want the user in our place of business, and that's illegal? It might be stupid from a business sense, but only because that user can still go and spam game chats and be abusive towards the 85% of our userbase who doesn't ever even visit the forums.

If you violate the community guidelines repeatedly and blatantly, we will remove you from the community and this includes PMs.
