Do you think the firing of wicked was good or bad for this site?

It should have happened 6 months earlier, or not at all.

So, your opinion is that it was bad for CC to fire her (in hindsight).

If efforts were not made to sabotage the site after they asked her to step down as mod, it would be possible to discuss this.

But since after asking her to step down, she put all energy into slandering it, revenge, petty bickering etc, that she more than anyone proved they made the right call. She revealed her true character, and made it obvious, that this is how it was going to end at some point.

Her whole defense was that she was ill, and thats why she acted the way she did. Then she carried on, beyond what she ever had before.

I liked wicked alot. True original, sarcastic witty courageous woman, whos not afraid of anyone. But that doesnt mean she should have a job dealing with tens of thousands of customers in a multi-national setting such as this.

So yes, it was a good decision, and an inevitable one.

Yes, I understand that you think it was a good decision; but overall (with all the trouble, the IPH/Hasbro fiasco, and whatever else) do you think that that good decision will be ultimately bad for CC?

I think this just about sums it up. She makes the excuse that she had an obscure disease that caused her to be a bitch, then she's magically cured. Wait no - I mean - she relapses into an even more bitchy form. Forgive me if I'm not forgiving.

Sorry to snip the rest AAFitz, and this isn't a dig at you, but what some people call "original, sarcastic, witty, courageous woman, not afraid of anyone" I would call "paranoid, self-aggrandising, vindictive, obsessive bitch, with so little compunction (read: psychotic tendencies) that she wouldn't give a hoot what happened just so long as she felt like she'd fucked someone over by the end of the day".

I think if something had not been done, then we would be drawing analogies between lack and Neville Chamberlain

well she had been fucking over the peons for a while.. as with most things on cc, nobody in another position of authority decided to pay that any heed until it was too late

The question here isn't if we liked wicked or not, or even if she is bitchy or crazy, the question is do you really think (hindsight) that the firing of wicked was good for the site?

And once again I draw the WWII analogy. Chamberlain sat back, twiddled his thumbs, and every time Germany took another chunk out of a sovereign nation he said "Oh you naughty nazis, now we won't tolerate that again". Next thing you know, we have the biggest shit fight in history. I think if she had been fired earlier, later, or exactly then, she still would have done her best impression of a monotesticular dictator.

I won't pretend to know anything else about wicked except that she didn't agree to a double-or-nothing avatar challenge rematch, and because of this she is a chicken for life.

I don't visit this forum frequently enough and I haven't played enough games with her to miss her, but based on what little I do know about the whole fiasco, I'll have to say that firing her was the best thing. It could've been done more gently, though. Maybe if Lack had eased her out of her moderator-ness and into her status as a normal member, she wouldn't have gone amok.

Oh well, what's done is done.

Let it go.
There's nothing quite like rehashing old shit over and over...

I think she has some serious emotional issues and deserved being sacked. But, seriously, this is an old topic and a bore.

yeah... i may have waited to ask this question AFTER live chat was back up... or perhaps AFTER her anti-CC blog where she slanders owners/admins/users was down... or AFTER her admission of taking live chat down before the anniversary and promising to be back to do it again, on Pile of A, had been hidden from non-registered users to view on that site... i agree with aafitz, any good she did has been negated by what she is currently doing. if it were truly from an illness (i am not going to get into the illness, i am sure that would open a can of worms or ticks for that matter), how do you explain what she has become now? had she taken her demotion, hung around the community, healed some of the open wounds that she caused and which were still festering, she may have been able to remain/become (according to each of our own opinions) a productive member of the community. however, with her latest assault on CC, resulting in the temporary death of live chat, i don't see how this can even be addressed or revisited. it would be a bit like Glen Close trying to work out her relationship with Michael Douglas in Fatal Attraction, AFTER she boiled his daughters bunny... wicked snuck into lack's house and boiled his bunny.... one step WAY too far... there is truly no way for her to come back, and the fact that she can't see this, is truly disturbing... the black jesus has spoken...-0

I don't know about lack, but I usually try to manage one last foot job from a girl before I'm through with her. Maybe she should come back with a fresh pedicure and her toenails painted to make things right...

wicked

click on that link, and then click on "search users posts". From there you'll be able to read everything she ever said, leading up to her banning.
