Robinette's 4th avatar

For those who don't know me, I've been around for nearly 3 years...
And until today, I have had only 3 avatars...

The 1st one was a real pic of mine... showing 3 smiling girls in their Varsity Jackets, from 3 different High Schools...
I was often asked which was me... which i never answered, other than to say I am not a blonde... :-$

The 2nd: Remember this one?
Image
This is my favorite painting of all time, and I saw the original at
the Exposition of Art Deco in San Francisco in 2004 8-)

The 3rd lasted until today... classic pin up, complete with bikini, long legs, big smile, sitting on the diving board O:)

Which brings us to the present...
Image
Perhaps this one will distract a few people just enough to be able to allow me to snatch a few extra victories... :P
But the real reason is to remind myself that I have a classic car to work on... it hasn't run for a couple years, and I miss driving it... so now, every day, my avatar will act as a reminder of my goal... to get that car running, and to pummel my opponents... heheehe

But the odd thing is that I felt like sharing this... i suppose that in the end, it really is... All About ME!

Ah yes, I remember the avatar progession. It's always interesting to see how long they stay and when they change...sometimes its more difficult to recognize the person again!

Yeah I'm curious about the car too (and your hair colour of course). Most importantly, is the car a 5-speed?

If I didn't know better I would say that wing looks decidedly akin to an old Merc sports of the gullwing era.

hehehee... Le Jeune Fille en Vert was painted by Tamara de Lempicka, a leading Art Deco painter, she painted "elegant women who emanated allure". (1898 – 1980) Born in Poland, she lived in high society Russia before fleeing to Paris during the Bolshevik Revolution.

Here's a larger view of my current Gil Elvgren painting

Nothing but sophistication... ;)

I was pretty spot on with the era, but of course it would be an American machine.

This leads me to think about some of the more exotic cars of the 50s that came out of the USA and were ahead of their time.

My guess would be a Studebaker as they were considered very cool and very cutting edge in their time.
