FOED Players list and description!

Hi all,

I have decided to start this thread and post all the black listed players name (on my list), and description on each:

I have quite a few on my foe list but I will only post from last experience and forward on as of today:

David Staten : A complete irrational, vindictive player. He got already mad as of turn 2 in our game, because i deployed troops to stop him from marching and conquering the region i was interested in. As of that point he started calling me a cheat and did nothing but go suicider on me the whole game.

Matt2006 : Maybe a good player, but we played a game where it got to a deadlock with 3 players almost with same strength. He started to swear and complain about the game. Then he went further to threaten each on of us that he will go suicider on if any of us attack his bonus, and that he would flip a coin next turn and decide who he goes suiciding on. Just another sore loser.

Zventi This one is sort of a weird guy. A real sore loser, going vindictive on the first chance you attack him. Foul mouth, and has very poor strategy abilities. He joined a 2nd game of mine after the one i eliminated him from and has the same attitude. Now I have him on Foe.[/color]

There are 3 reasons people end up on my foe list:

1. Give me a bad attitude rating because I didn't say "gg" or "gl" or "gl m8" or whatever other form of non-communication fits your interpretation of collegiality in this game.

2. Give me a bad rating with nonsensical tags, i.e., "uncoooperative" in a 2-player game.

3. Conquer neutral territories to gain bonuses after you already have the game won.

There are about 25 esteemed members of this club so far. =D>

Sad, really.

Hey, i do that in 2-player games when the chips are so down. Well not to go after bonuses because that would be dumb. but say if i had 2 territs down on o3/o4 or something on classic shapes, and the winner has a7, i'll attack o1 to expedite the whole winning process. Is that what you mean?

I used to 'foe' people regularly, for sucking at escalating. Then I stopped playing public escalating games. I don't think I've added anyone to my list in over a year.

No, I'm not talking about going through neutral territory to get to the enemy, but rather taking neutral territories just for the feather in your cap. (i.e., you already have the game won/have a preponderance of force or other bonuses already, etc.).

I've actually played people on the Iberia map who had me beat, but spent 5-6 turns clearing up all the neutral territory just so he could have the whole map.

I don't foe people for sucking, or for beating me, only for being a stupid asshole, as outlined above.

Oh, i see what you mean now. Yeah, I agree; i hate that too. Kinda rubbing it in someone's face that you have them beat. Though i've seen ppl almost turn games around because of a winner's inability to finish off a player.

Me neither. Anymore. Back when I would play 6-8 player public escalating games, nothing pissed me off more than some moron destroying a perfectly good game by deciding they wanted to take Australia with their 25 set. Then I discovered that it's far easier to search out decent players, than it is to try avoiding the shitty ones.

LOL guys. I completely agree with you. But I was hoping that this thread would be more of a reference and updated regularly with names of players on your foe lists including a short description of why.

Oh, last but not least. It seems that ratings after games is used by most of those jerks for a different vengeance reasons to let their frustration and sore losing attitude out. Really poor !!!!

Exact same outcome here. It used to be the only reason I foed anyone.

I've never done that, with 2 exceptions:

1> On a BIIIG map, such a World2.1, using, say, flat rate. It can be evident that I'm EXTREMELY likely to win 3 or 4 turns before it's possible to finish stamping out my opponent. I will claim some neutrals if I think the bonus troops they will provide will expedite the overall progress.

2> One time, I think, I did clear off the last couple of neutral, and then finish my opponent ON THE SAME TURN, just to make it look pretty. But I would never extend a game for that purpose.

You guys should have left this one down in the forum: we don't need blacklists because it's just another form of flaming somebody.
