Points and Scores - How are they decided?

Hello, I'm a noob, so here's a noob question:
How are points/scores decided at the end of a game? I've read the 'Score, Ranking and Medals' section of the instructions, and understand the x20 multiplier thing, but how are the actual scores that losing players get decided? Is it a case of in what order players are eliminated? How aggressive you are? Total conquests throughout the game? What?
Cheers.

That page you said you read wrote:Conquer Club members are initially given a score of 1000. At the end of each game, the winner takes points away from each loser. The points to be awarded is calculated as (loser's score / winner's score) * 20, up to a maximum of 100 points from each opponent.

Yeah, thanks for that. That tells me the equation, it doesn't tell me what influences the integers that are put into it.
To actually answer my question, what affects a players end-of-game score? For instance in one of my recent games that ended the point allocation/deduction was as follows:
2009-05-23 10:25:35 - X loses 30 points
2009-05-23 10:25:35 - sibleysibley loses 14 points
2009-05-23 10:25:35 - Y loses 15 points
2009-05-23 10:25:35 - Z gains 59 points
What I'm actually asking is how are those first three decided? X, myself, and Y all lost, but the point deductions are different. What could each of those players have done during the game that resulted in different points being deducted? Is it as case of being knocked out in an earlier round?

its because you are all on seperate scores, and so each of you seperatly goes into the previously stated equation to calculate your points lost to the winner

Okay, thanks. But what determines an individual's score? Number of troops lost? Territories conquered during the game? How well you perform in each round?

To clarify by using an example:
Say players X, Y, and Z are in a 3 player game, in which it is looking inevitable that player X is about to win. Both Y and Z have very few regions and troops left, but Y has enough troops to try and eliminate Z from the game before they themselves are eliminated. Would it actually be within player Y's interest to do this? Would it mean that they lose less points come the end of the game?
Hope that makes sense...

An individual's score is determined using the part I quoted above. You start with 1000 points, and gain/lose them based on the given formula.

So what happens during the game has no influence at all then? Okay, I think I understand now.
Cheers

Well, whether you win or lose has a lot to do with it, but yeah. It only has to do with the relative scores of the players.
