Hey guys.

I've played this before on a rival website, but had to resign due to nasty people.
Can I have a guarantee before I take out a subscription that I will not be flamed or called anything nasty?
I am a 48 year old man by the way

Your fairly safe, depending on the thickness of your skin. However, play for a while as a freebe and see how it goes if it really worries you.

As mentioned, give the website and the community a test-drive, and see how you like it and how it compares. Best of luck,

That's not appropriate when directed to new members. You should be trying to get them to stay, not driving them all off.

I don't see how you can reasonably expect someone to give you a guarantee that you won't ever be insulted. Why did you post in the forum in the first place if you're not willing to engage the community? Most of the folks here are decent, but there are certainly people here, as in any community, who like to give people a hard time. My advice- if you just want to play, then just play, don't post.

Your guarantee from abuse is the foe list. Players on your list cannot chat you up in the games you share, send you private messages, post on your wall or join your games.

I do find it odd that a 48 year old man is concerned about abuse on a war game site
and Conquer Club has no rivals.

You don't owe us an explanation for anything. The foe list is a great tool. I suggest you check out the society of cooks. They help train new players.

These will not be in the form of a threat, but in some rather harsh words from my direction.

You know, I was on Facebook earlier playing Scrabble when a young girl called me an 'old perv'.
I immediately contacted the owners of Facebook and had her priviledges taken away, so think on everyone before you abuse me

Oh and also, I know the Bruvs Ronnie and Reggie Kray, so beware..

ha ha ha ha! your gonna be fine here, there are plenty of tools, but most of the people are great.... something tells me that your gonna enjoy the tools more tho.....

Perhaps, before you run around threatening everyone with your big, bad harsh words, you actually look up the sites policy on abuse.

The problem is that this is all AFTER he's been abused. So it's not a guarantee from abuse at all.

That would be a mistake. Don't contribute to the problem...report the problem.
