I have a question about 2 player freestyle games, specifically is it considered abuse to purposefully not end ones turn so that they miss a turn and are thus able to take two consecutive turns? And the other question is there another method to be able to end your turn last and yet still go first, ie start and complete your turn before the other person?

Officially it is not abuse to do a double turn by not ending your turn. There have been calls for this practice to be changed, but as of right now it is not officially abuse. Many people do think so - so don't be surprised if you are rated accordingly.
Not sure what you are asking on the other question - as long as you end your turn before the other person, you'll get to go first next. If you completely take your turn before they do, then you'll get to start next. Not sure if that answers your question.

After Fiction PM'd me the game number, I understood what he meant and wanted to post the answer here.
The other player was able to start the next round even after finishing the previous round second because it was 12 hours after he finished the previous round. You have to wait 12 hours for the other player to take their turn before you can take yours. If the other player hasn't taken their turn after 12 hours, then you can take yours.
Hope this clears it up!
