what are you going on about? nothing seems different to me...
hmmmm... just went to announcements... and i believe NEW FORUM DESIGN is misleading. i would not call it a new design as much as i would re-organization and additions... design emplies overall look and feel... seems pretty cool to me... good job optimums, you are just kicking ass.-0

A shuffle of the deck that will take just a little time to adjust to...
but seems pretty logical actaully.
Putting the Map Foundry a bit higher in the pecking order is a plus
and maybe it will get more attention now.

Agreeing with OvO. Tournaments and Maps (housed in the larger Forum/Community idea) are really both some of the top driving forces of Conquer Club.

yeah... that will do it... i think that every person that has commented within that foundry thread in the GD stated that they don't visit it because it is so low on the list of the forums... *cough*... hey, i'm visiting it regularly now!! and that isn't sarcasm... they claim it is a new day on there, so i'm giving it another chance... as far as the changes, i already gave it the thumbs up, and i'm even enjoying it more than i did, since i have browsed it all now... i especially love the newsletter having it's own forum. that is a WONDERFUL change... optimus did a wonderful reorganization...-0

One suggestion. Put GD at the top, and whenever changes are made, leave it at the top. I believe GD is the most popular forum (I could be mistaken), if it is, it should come first.

It has the most "stuff" but I don't think it adds as much to the gaming experience as some of the other areas. I see more value in other areas. Just my .02

I don't disagree. My only point is that, the one that's visited most should be easiest to get to. It saves the maximum amount of peoples time overall. This way we don't have to scroll every time, one less step. Just thinking of efficiency, that's all.

no, no... it is only the most visited because it is on top... surely now the foundry will be the top forum visited... the arrogance is astounding... i like the additions, i find the shuffling of some forums above others and below others a bit peculiar and not a real fix as to why people don't visit those specific forums... the problem is far deeper than product placement... i can't wait to see the traffic results in a months time.. however, i still love the new additions and OP's move to make this an easier place to navigate...-0

Sorry lads but the new forum organisation just gives me a headache currently. We'll see if I get used to it, I remember the change to php 3.0 (anyone remember that?) giving me a headache too.

I'm confused. Is the 'New Forum Organization' a political party of some sort?
Beware the NFO!

Yeah didn't the avatars used to be on the other side? It would be strange to see it back the old way, it would probably give us a headache

it works nicely, although as i said in the announcement thread that i personally would like GD higher up.
that being said, it really does make sense to have some of those lower profile forums (map foundry, tournaments, clans) be a little higher as they are more "beneficial" to the site's growth

of course not, none of the users/regulars from any of the bumped up forums that have low traffic think it is that much of a big deal. but with the GD so low, it is surely going to start suffering from the same "elitist", "arrogant", "unfriendly" tags that the Forum used to suffer... ahem...-0

Yeah, I didn't post much for about a year when we got the new forums. I hated it.

I still have all the avatars on the left side. Avatars on the right makes no sense and I particularly hated that change. I don't want to read a post and then find out who posted it, I want to be able to see who is posting and start reading in the same place.

can we change our vote? i voted yes, and after looking more closely find some of the changes/solutions absolutely ridiculous. i like the additions of the new forums, but the moving of forums up and down as a solution to increase traffic to the map foundry and other forums they deem more important, is just misguided. thumbs up on getting the "community (foundry) newsletter" out of the GD and into it's own place. thumbs down on reshuffling the deck in an attempt to increase traffic to lesser visited sites. perhaps team CC should have looked at how those forums are moderated and how users are treated within them. then they wouldn't have thought "LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! THAT IS THE SOLUTION!!!" anyway, i want to change my vote.-0
p.s.-still waiting for the increased shading to help us old folks distinguish between posts that we were promised after the last update...

I believe I set up the poll so you could.

As we've mentioned---some of the intermediate phases---like this Phase one, will feel a little strange. Just stick with us while we work on the next Phase---which we expect to roll out at the end of this month/beginning of the next month.
