Questions about dice..

1. In one of my games, I rolled a 5, 1, 2. My opponent rolled a 4, 6 and it said that he won both dices. My question is, isn't a 5 higher then a 4?

2. Why does the dice in this website seem so rigged? When I took my turns today, I kept losing both dices on all my rolls.
It just doesn't seem fair.. :(

I've just started here in Conquer Club, so my games are still in an early stage, and by having those kinds of dice rolls everytime, it seems like I'll never win a game..

It will always match your highest, against their highest. In this case their 6 beats your 5. Then the next highest rolls are taken against each other. In this case, their 4 beats your 2.

They're not rigged, they're random, which means that sometimes you are going to get exceptionally bad (and sometimes good) rolls. The best advice I can give, is to stop attacking sooner. When the dice are bad, just stop rolling them before you lose so many that there's no coming back. Patience is a virtue.

Thanks for the reply, just one more question. If I stop attacking, then I won't be able to get spoils. So aren't spoils important as well?

yes, spoils are important as well, but they're not always worth killing all your armies for.

the dice favors smaller armies, so you can win even if you are massively outnumbered, and therefore 3 armies on defense can easily beat 15 armies, and when doing multiple attacks, vary where you are attacking to get better rolls

This guy is wrong. Like Timminz said, sometimes the dice are really bad and that's the time to stop attacking. It happens on this site where streaks of really bad dice keep coming up (and good dice but we don't remember those as easy). Sometimes its best to just leave the site and come back later if you can. This may not actually help but I know it helps me feel better when I'm getting screwed over by the dice.

Actually, assuming the dice are truly random, it's better to ignore past rolls and analyze the situation at face value. One time, I lost 10 straight men in a 30v15 attack. I kept on going, though, because 20v15 is still a favorable position for me. I ended up winning with 15 men left. You can choose to stop if you feel yourself getting really upset, but other than that there's no reason to if you still have an advantage. ;)
