Now live:

ConquerChat IRC Channel - The IRC Chan for all your CC needs.

Find real time games and players, chat with other CC players about strategy, politics, new maps or any other CC "thing" that may come to mind.

The easiest way to get on is to visit http://www.ConquerChat.info (not related to ConquerChat.com) or join us with your own IRC client (such as mIRC) at:
Server: maple.ix.ca.dal.net
Chan: #ConquerChat

I am looking for OPs and Mods for the chan, and anyone who is willing to actively develop the site to make it pretty, fast and more user friendly (i.e. more easily integrated with CC game creation, joining, etc.)

The current java app at conquerchat.info is a little slow and buggy, I'm looking for a better one, chat goes fast, but commands seem to go a little slower. I will be adding a few features soon to make it easier to use and a little faster.

Hope this helps with real time games, if you have any suggestions I am happy to hear any of them.

See you in the chan, hopefully it gets some use :)

I changed it a little, it should now connect to the closest server to you, but still have everyone in the same place.

I wish it was used more, it would be nice to have some form of chat integrated into the site to that it was automatic...or at least some form of "user online" status.

anyhoo. thanks for the bump

I don't know if it's just a problem on my end...but when I click on the link I just see "unable to connect, blah blah"

it's a problem a couple of people are having with the java applet.

I'm going to work on it this week or next, I'm in the process of moving so it might have to wait a little. If anyone is tech savvy and would like to have a shot at it, give me a shout, I'd love to share the work :)

I have a non IRC web based chat that we can use. Its php so it souldn't be that hard to integrate w/ this site.

yeah, I considered going PHP style, but they tend to be a lot less efficient and flexible.

If you want to contact me MrT, we can get one up and running on my site to replace the one that is there and see if we can't get lack to incorporate it.

Perhaps we can set it to limit the window size so it would be more CC friendly - i.e. easy to have both open at the same time.
