What constitutes secret alliances?

Hi, just wanna check on definitions... hope someone can advice me.
am in some team games... and some of which i have been eliminated. the surviving teams are still battling it out.
if the game chat already announced a treaty of sorts between some teams, would it be contravening the secret alliance rule if strategies were discussed through mails and wall postings between the allied teams? or would any such discussions need to be done on the game chat too?

just wanna be sure.

Thanks for your advice

Rules Page Wrote wrote:Any form of diplomatic discussion between opponents must be posted in the game chat in English or in a language that all opponents understand. Diplomacy includes, but is not limited to: proposing truces, negotiating alliances, and coordinating assaults.

And IIRC in-team talks in a team game doesn't count however inter-team talks would as you are opponents.
