2009-06-26 03:30:04 - (Player) was kicked out for violating the rules
I got that message in one of my games and was wondering what it means. Does it mean that person was found cheating in one of their other games and was then banned and kicked from all their games including the one they were in with me? Or does it mean they somehow violated the rules in the game while they were taking their turn? thanks

It will generally mean that they were removed due to a violation elsewhere, but there wouldn't be a distinction if the cheating occurred in your game.

If the cheating occurred in your game (secret diplomacy, multiple accounts, etc) there probably would have been a discussion within the game chat about the alleged cheating, before the site moderators stepped in.
