Conquer Club

So, last week I decided I was going to join a game or two on Circus Maximus as I've never really played it and am (remotely) interested in learning. Long story short, joined two of Klobbers games, came back a few hours later, and both were gone!

Pretty obvious at this point he just dropped the games...

Sitting around now, figured I'd give it another shot. Clicked 'join game' and got this message:

"you cannot join game 5038932 because you are KLOBBER's foe"

There seriously should be a penalty on this website for foeing anyone over Corporal who joins your games so you're not forced to play against someone who may hold their own and actually present a challenge.

That's because you have to shower him with compliments after wards and say obnoxious things during the game. Eg: Game 3173373

Also joining at the bottom would have been a better idea.

I would love to have expressed my lack of hygiene in a similar fashion, but I was foed long before I even got the opportunity to play!

Anyway, I just started playing the Circus Maximus game myself. I rather like it. Once I can get rid of the dead beaters (I seem to have 2 at the moment) I will gladly play you.

I've been reading up on strategy, as I never really understood the map. Not so much I didn't understand how it worked, but rather I didn't understand how someone can consistently win on it as it seemed to be based so much in luck.

I think I may be onto something, however.

Here's a little tip from me to you. Go forward. Works every time.

So, in essence, you had an experience which smelt of manure?

In that case, it sounds like you're dealing with a farmer.





PS. The guy is a well known fan of the products of rectum-milliners, save yourself some time and just ignore him forever.

I was told that being forum-banned meant you lost your foe list...I guess that's not the case?

He just foed me recently.

Perhaps he will lose it again and I can use the 'Games Filter' script to find ones with only 1 or 2 slots left to join in on him

no, you don't lose your foe list. you get phenomenally bad info from wherever you get it. and this is not
the first instance of this occuring...-0

more likely, it is a result of the new farming code, which does not allow new recruits to join big games like that. People are actually showing up to them now, so his win rate is probably lower... its also possible that it is due to some other reason, such as other games, or different choices, or that he simply isnt putting as much effort in. Everyone views and plays for points differently.

Well regardless of you and everyone else telling me that there was no racial motivation behind KLOBBER putting me on his foe list, I still vociferously demand there was.

Well regardless of you and everyone else telling me that there was no racial motivation behind KLOBBER putting me on his foe list, I still vociferously demand there was.

I truly believe he is an equal opportunity foe lister. Join his game once is the only requirement or restriction.

Does anyone know exactly what Klobber's standards are? I mean, I was a sarge and he foed me out of his games. Is it only privates and lower? Is it only newer players?

I was (get this...) a COOK when he foed me for joining two of his games (which were, of course, summarily dropped by him). However, I had a lot of experience under my belt, an 16% win rate (or so) at the time which was based on large-player-games, and a very high relative map-rank...apparently, that was enough. And I think Spock intimidates him. <laughing>

If 10,000 players were the hard limit and not just the point at which it times out, then it would still be sufficient to foe every active player above the rank of Corporal. Makes you think doesn't it?
