I Appreciate the Admins and Mods

I would just like to say I very much appreciate the excellent job each and every one of the admins do in judicially and thoughtfully policing this site to ensure an enjoyable experience by the users. While I understand that they get a lot of flack from problem users, I just want them to know that most of us are very grateful and respectful of the excellent job they do! Congrats, guys!

I would like to declare Admin/Mod appreciation day. They are a truly wonderful bunch of people and deserve a round of applause. Kudos to jobs well done!

If I could give you all a hug right now I would. In fact, I know I speak for 100% of the users here in saying that a group hug might be in order. I'd like to dedicate this thread to those of us who want to run a group thing on the mods. Cyber it here!

You and your 20 posts and brown nose don't really count around here. What do you know about problem users?

Interesting perspective, whitestazn88! Isn't it great how we can proactively and cooperatively exchange our different ideas and viewpoints in this diverse marketplace of ideas and in a spirit of tolerance and mutual appreciation?

Thanks, whitestazn88!

You joined this site 5 days ago, so why don't you make the mods job easier by posting who your other accounts are.

You are a really shit troll. I had hopes for you for a little while back there, but you've turned out to be boringly unoriginal.

And yes, save yourself the time of writing..."Thank you for you input Mr Changsha! I'm sorry..."

Oh dear, it appears I've somehow earned my own stalker. Thread after thread, wherever I post, he mysteriously shows up with his message of rage and anger.

Just two threads.

And you're still being boringly unoriginal. However, if you want to run with this 'stalker theme' then please go with it. Maybe you can get some real traction off of that. At the moment this fake courtesy line you're going with seems tired and this 'Aren't the mods great!' thread is so depressingly predictable.

The real problem is that you don't appear to have the intelligence to actually respond. Here is an example of your standard fare:

saxotoxin wrote:Interesting perspective, mibi! Isn't it great how we can proactively and cooperatively exchange our different ideas and viewpoints in this diverse marketplace of ideas and in a spirit of tolerance and mutual appreciation?

It was decently funny the first time, vaguely amusing (if worryingly repetitive) the second and frankly sleep-inducing the third. How many times have you rolled this out now? Eight or nine times?

If you can't at least write with some measure of creativity or humour then I must insist that you piss off.

Oh and btw, if you fail again to actually genuinely interact then we'll all be forced to conclude that not only are you a troll (we all know that) but also a stupid troll.

So come on, stretch a leg...

Mr. Changsha - I've previously expressed my professional concern for your well-being but I'm now genuinely fearful. The use of the plural "we" to indicate the presence of a support network of colleagues, friends or family when none exists is often an indicator of an emergent psychosis.

I don't know anything else about you but you are obviously functional by the fact you have been able to log-on and interact electronically with your "virtual friends" here with such great frequency as indicated by your post total so my first line of thought could be that you are suffering an abnormal boost in dopamine activity in the brain. As it's unusual for this type of transient psychosis to occur without an external influence I think there may be environmental factors at work.

I strongly urge you to make sure you are taking good care of yourself. I am happy to post phone numbers or links to several free, community-based health resources you might think about examining. Many of these are open to anonymous contact if you are concerned about privacy.

I hope all is well and you feel better soon. Remember, you are important and special. There are people who care about you.

Best Regards,
Saxitoxin

I'm sorry everyone. I know this thread was intended to be a show of support for the mods but we have an emergent health and wellness situation here and I need to be the daddy for a minute and ask everyone to please take a few steps back.

At this time I would like to ask other community members to, please, voluntarily exit this thread so I can address a situation one of our fellow members is experiencing and, if he's willing to let me, help him work his way through it.

I know everyone here is anxious to help but the best thing you can do now is to leave it to the pros. The time for hugs will come but it will come later. Thank you for your caring and support.

- Saxitoxin

Are you suggesting I am suffering from a bi-polar disorder because I used the word 'we'? As in 'we' the people who use this forum? Are you suggesting they don't exist? What a very unusual position for a certified mental health care professional to take...

But nonetheless you are doing a little better.

However, let's get back to the topic of your thread. I was intrigued by this statement of yours:

saxitoxin wrote:I would just like to say I very much appreciate the excellent job each and every one of the admins do in judicially and thoughtfully policing this site to ensure an enjoyable experience by the users. Could you give us (there I go again with those paranoid delusions of mine about there being other people reading this forum) some concrete examples of moderation practices you have approved of since joining this site? Vague generalities will just not do I am afraid...

It's just the two of us here now, Mr. C. Let me know what's on your mind. I'm here to help.

(And, no, I don't think you're bipolar. MPD is a schizophrenic disorder, not psychotic. You're only exhibiting early stages of the latter. Why, has someone diagnosed you with MPD already? If so, don't take my advise over that of your normal healthcare provider. One can't make a scientific assessment based on a message board.)

You do know that you don't actually have the ability to stop other people entering this thread, right?

But I'm glad you're here to help. How about answering my question about moderating practice? Maybe that will soothe my mental angst a touch?

I'm not crazy, and neither am I.

Let me guess...this is your attempt to make KLOBBER appear to be incredibly creative?

A good troll should have some creativity. Please find some, as you're really boring.

Woodruff - I've already noted I need to put the daddy pants on in this thread. I'd ask you please, voluntarily, respect the situation one of our forum members is going through and not interrupt right now. The time for hugs will come but it will come later. Thanks, Woodruff!

Ssshhh Woodruff! It is just me and Doctor Saxitoxin now. He's about to make me feel better by explaining why he approves of CC's moderating practice... ;)

Good one, Mr. Changsha! You are a creative individual with a good sense of humor! You should feel confident and proud about yourself.

Anyway, I just got your PM so am happy to move this to a private forum.
Thanks for taking the first step in helping yourself.

And for everyone else having similar difficulties, remember, there are people who care about you. You are special and important.

Great thread, gang! Even though it evolved into something not originally intended it was inspiring. I'm closing this one down now and won't be checking it again, so, if you have other input, feel free to PM me. Thanks, gang!

I am happy that you finally think you get to act like an adult...I'm sure it must happen so infrequently that you get a great feeling of satisfaction during those few moments when it does happen. And yet, you're still boringly uncreative. You're simply not being an effective troll. It must be seriously embarrassing not being able to live up to even the low standards that have been set before you.

What PM? I didn't send you a PM...

However, let me save you the trouble of following it up with "You think you didn't send me a PM."

Well done on proving my original premise though: that of you lacking the originality to actually contribute something of interest to this forum. You proved it well. You weren't even able to attempt a response to my question. Maybe you should perfect your trolling skills someplace else and come back here when you've seasoned a bit?

How do douchebags like this get free unregulated reign on the message board but people like Dancing Mustard get banned permanently?

I am freaking embarrassed for this site and its moderators...

I haven't pissed myself laughing so much for ages. This thread makes a brilliant read.

On a more serious note I actually do appreciate the Admins and Mods. They're not perfect but hell, no-one is. ;)
