Idea for New Way to Deal with Players Abusive in Chat

As mods have expressed reluctance to deal with players who use foul language in-chat, I have found a new way that is effective. Recently I was subject to abuse during an in-game chat so simply started having cyber-sex with the offending player.

Because chat abuse appears to be the result of a shaky sense of sexual identity and the need to "assert" the abusers manhood in a "safe" way that they can't do in real life, and, because there are no language-usage rules in chat, this appears to be an option for those of us who are subjected to in-game chat abuse.

Just wanted to throw that out there as an option, gang. Thanks!

Holy shit... Stop spamming, trolling, and being a total nuisance. I mean come on, please, you're just being stupid now. I have read several of your posts and to put it to you softly, and blatantly, you're the definition of a troll. You've gotta stop this, I'm trying to help you now. We get it, you think the site is a bad community, which it honestly isn't that bad. If you have some sort of mental damage that forces you to spew out this kind of crap I apologize. In all seriousness, we're not your "gang" and I'm sure the majority of forum dwellers just think you're an idiot. It seems that the mods are showing reluctance to shut you up. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is more than tired of your little hissy fit. Please, just stop spamming us with your bad community statements, it is far better than it has been in the past(although I liked FW). Now I understand you're entitled to your own opinion but expressing it in forms that bash our community as a whole crosses my line. I'm gonna ask you nicely, shut up about our community already, please.

Please note - as long as abusive verbiage is permitted in chat I reserve the right to reply with abusive verbiage if I am first subjected to it. In this case I was the subject of abusive verbiage and responded in-kind.

If I choose not to reply to "f*ck you, you are a complete fucking moron" with a similar slur, but, instead, with amorous suggestions, that is my choice.

If a new rule is developed and enforced that states no abusive language or name calling is permitted in chat then I will, of course, bring myself into full compliance.

Until then I have a right to defend myself in a manner of my choosing, provided it is in compliance with the rules which - as many people have noted - do not prohibit any kind of language.

Some people may be offended by having their name calling responded to with cyber-sexing but I'm often offended by name-calling and told to get over it so, along those lines: get over it! We all have different types of tolerances and different push-buttons. If someone tries to push my buttons I'll push back in the way I think is most effective - provided it is in compliance with the rules - which is via unwanted and uninvited cybering.

Thanks, gang!

Thanks, colton. Until we have a culling of abusive players I'm hoping this can be a last-ditch self-defense option for those of us who want a civil, tempered and moderate gameplay experience.

I was actually not so much referring to the gamechat as to your recent bout of posting in GD.

Actually, your doing so is not only going to hurt your case in trying to get the instigator in trouble but it is also likely to wind up causing you to be in trouble for the same infraction. So the better idea would be to simply turn the other cheek along with (if you feel it is justified) reporting it.

True, I am widely considered to be one of the most gracious and polite participants but, even I, can only take so much.

Voldemort, my friend. Don't take whasshisnames carefree "lol'ing" attitude too seriously. He doesn't really think it's too funny, he got all huffy and puffy and reported this as "sexual assault" to the moderators and gave a big speech about social responsibility.

Now he feels a little embarrassed and is trying to pull that big ol' stick outta his butt so he looks like he's just "one of the guys" instead of a little girl who goes running to mommies dress anytime someone is a big ol' meanie to him on the playground ... now that is, truly, an occasion for lulz!

I know right?[

BARF!

[Cue whasshisname to reply with 7 different holier-than-though, huffing-n-puffing, chest thumping, testosterone filled, vine swinging retorts, then to drag the ol' school marm - his little dog Woodsie - into the action.]

Quoted for proof of trolling before the liar tries to change it as he's tried to do in other threads.

Reported for flaming; "liar" is incendiary.

BTW, Woodruff - I was not talking about you, I was talking about player Woodsie. So, please, mind your own business. (You were probably a hoot growing up ... I bet your were a hall monitor in grade school, huh? - "HEY, I SAW YOU SPENDING MORE THAN 15 SECONDS AT THE WATER FOUNTAIN! DOCUMENTED, LOGGED AND SUBMITTED TO THE MAIN OFFICE!")

Clearly, my calling you a liar was accurate. The player Woodsie has completed one game and made no posts...and the one game was nearly three years ago.

Reported again for flaming.

Woodruff, I'm not going to deal with the insane ramblings of a mere schoolteacher. Either yours or Woodsies.

And yet, you continue to deal with my statements, so clearly they're not insane ramblings.

So this aimless and inane thread continues, Clappers point of law is ignored by the OP.

Why hasn't this thread been locked?

There's a disheveled old bum on the corner who screams at the light post. I spend hours, over the course of a year, watching him intently. It's high entertainment.

I'm not saying you're like him, of course, as that would be a flame. I'm just making a non-tangental observation, out of the blue.

Thanks, Woodruff!
