Conquer Club

This is an open invitation for everyone to come to my house tonight and join us in the first annual ConquerClub Ball.

What: 1st Annual ConquerClub Ball (White ties and formal gowns only, please)
Where: Wolffystyle's home, Chicago, Illinois
When: 9pm c.s.t. 16 July 2009
Who: Everyone is invited, please RSVP so I know how much lasagna to make.
Why: Everyone needs to get away from the computer and dance every now and again, right?

Please RSVP to me by 5pm cst and I will send you directions.

Dinner will be served, wine is available at the cash bar.

We will not play, discuss or think about conquerclub until the awards ceremony. (then we will play a live freestyle game on the classic map where ballgoers will act as numerical troop counts on a large map I drew on the dance floor.)

Awards ceremony will include wonderful prizes including this paperclip. (try to imagine me holding up a paperclip)

Vegetarian meals are not available, sorry. Who are you lousy vegetarians anyway?

I am skeptical of the Dutch. Please send me references if you are Dutch.

I will answer any additional questions you may have.

I myself cannot attend, as I don't live in Illinois. But I will be attending in spirit of principle.

Heh, this sounds like the sort of thing I would do.
Except I would get everyone playing video games or watching Monty Python sketches.

Unfortunately I was already busy that evening at a private Gentlemen's Dinner at my club in London. It was all very enjoyable and the ladies bought in for the event were quite charming....and very...what's the word....ah yes....vigorous.

I must say I was rather disappointed. Despite being the only attendee, I was eliminated within 5 rounds from the freestyle game and did not win any raffle prizes. Also I'm afraid the lasagna was a bit bland, not nearly enough parsley for my tastes.

Sorry, my Witches and Worlocks black mass is that night, otherwise id be there promptly.

Wolffy, are you hosting this year? I would like to attend, I finally found a suit large enough for Gunther my pet walrus. It was made for an old Exchequer (with a very similar mustache). Brian Fletcher will not win that paper clip this year, I just know I have to fix the ballots...

Becky, if wollfy is planning this event this year, were you planning on attending with me or did you have some one else in mind?

Well im not handing it back to be won again! Lack will have to dig out the petty cash for a new one for this year!
